History

The 1996-1998 Adidas Spain home shirt served as La Roja's official home kit during UEFA Euro 1996 in England and the early stages of qualification for the 1998 FIFA World Cup.

José Emilio Amavisca, operating primarily as a left winger and second striker, was a notable part of Spain's Euro 1996 squad. He made three appearances during the tournament before Spain were eliminated by hosts England on penalties in the quarter-finals.

At club level, Amavisca had joined Real Madrid in summer 1994 and immediately impressed, scoring ten La Liga goals in his debut season while helping the club secure the 1994/95 league title. Across four seasons at Real Madrid, he made 144 official appearances and scored 14 goals.

By 1998, however, Amavisca had fallen out of favour at the Bernabéu and was left out of Spain's 1998 FIFA World Cup squad before eventually moving to Racing Santander. As a result, the 96/98 Spain home shirt effectively represents the full span of his senior international career — making this an especially distinctive collector's edition.

Collector Value

A 96/98 Adidas Spain home shirt with an authentic Amavisca 7 nameset in 9/10 condition is genuinely uncommon. Because Amavisca's Spain career was relatively short, very few period-correct player editions were produced.

Comparable Adidas Spain 96/98 shirts with niche-player names typically resell internationally in the NOK 1,500 – NOK 3,500 range, with famous-player variants such as Raúl, Hierro, or Zubizarreta commanding the highest values.

For the Amavisca edition, the appeal lies in rarity and mid-1990s Real Madrid nostalgia rather than mainstream demand. TheFootballIdiots' NOK 1,999 sits comfortably within the international market for an authentic 9/10 example.

FAQs

Who was Amavisca and what did he do for Spain?

José Emilio Amavisca was a Spanish winger and second striker best known for his years at Real Madrid between 1994 and 1998. He represented Spain at UEFA Euro 1996 in England, making three appearances before the national team was eliminated by the hosts on penalties in the quarter-finals.

He later missed out on selection for the 1998 FIFA World Cup after falling out of favour at Real Madrid.

What did Amavisca win at Real Madrid?

Amavisca won the 1994/95 La Liga title with Real Madrid during his debut season, scoring ten league goals in the process. Across four seasons with the club, he played 144 official matches and scored 14 goals before moving to Racing Santander.

How rare is an Amavisca Spain shirt?

Genuinely rare. Amavisca's Spain career was relatively brief, consisting mainly of Euro 1996 and limited World Cup qualifying appearances, meaning very few authentic period-correct Spain shirts bearing his name exist today.

Most surviving Spain 96/98 player editions feature more internationally recognised names such as Raúl, Hierro, Zubizarreta, or Alfonso. An Amavisca version is therefore a highly specific niche collector's piece with strong historical identity.

Exceeded my expectations in every way.

Great quality solid copper cables. None of the local stores, such as Walmart or Autozone had Any real copper cables at all. All offerings were CCA dual-conductor cables that are essentially 95% aluminum. 2/3rd of available options had Packaging that didn't openly disclose this fact. It took time researching each "high-performance", or "professional grade" audio cables they had in stock. Perhaps, there's no regulations that require manufacturers to to make any reference clarifying that the product isn't pure copper. It was surprisingly misleading. Amazon Basic branded cables are as good as the best cables you cables you can buy elsewhere online. 14 Gauge us about as thick as you could reasonably use at home without it becoming a major annoying mess. Great price as well. Made in Vietnam - is just the icing on the cake. Ordered the "used" option. Cables were brand new, the coil was slightly banged up in shipping and dusty, thus the 15% discount

If you need cable for your power supply and ground. Look no further. This is quality from the copper to the insulation. I wasn't sure about buying wires off amazon but this is my new favorite. Done several trucks and they are holding up just fine.
