About the artist

Shahin Afrassiabi was born 1963 in Tehran, Iran. Afrassiabi's three-dimensional assemblages of building and decorating materials play between Modernist art histories and the world of DIY. In the style of the home improvement manual, the two-dimensional artwork he has produced for the exhibition Early One Morning (6 July - 8 Sept 2002) reflects his interest in making art from the commonplace and the everyday. Afrassiabi currently lives and works in London.
