The mount is a cat. A large, sandy coloured tabby cat, fully saddled and bridled with proper Western tack, sitting in the upright, composed posture of an animal that has assessed the situation and decided to allow it. The cat is looking directly at the camera. The cowboy is looking at the horizon. They have an understanding.

Cat Lone Ranger works because it commits entirely to the Western movie aesthetic. This is not a cartoon or an illustration, it is a vintage 1960s movie still in which the horse has been replaced by a cat and every other detail remains completely authentic. The saddle is real. The canyon is real. The holster is real. The cat is real, and the cat is magnificent, the cat is going nowhere it doesn't choose to go.
