The name references the Carrick Bend our symbol of the people and land, here it is a metaphor for the more relaxed style of this wine. It's essentially a declassification of wine from the Carrick vineyards, so has all the care and attention of the other Pinots, but bottled earlier with less new oak.

Fruit-driven, sensual, flavoursome, succulent, this is beautifully ripe, replete with berries and cherries and a brambly character. A light fining and filtering ensures the fruit characters remain intact.

Fine, well-balanced and red fruited, Matured in French oak barrique for 8 months, with 9% new oak, the Unravelled is light-bodied and finely structured. The 2018 has lovely flow, with cherry and black plum notes, as well as some subtle spice. We enjoy this as our day to day dinner wine.

This wine has undergone biodynamic principals since 2011 and organically certified since 2008.
