Throughout history, Aden was known as the city of fragrance in the Arabian Peninsula.

Adani bakhoor (Aden’s incense in English) is a traditional artistic way of hand-making incense. Throughout history, Aden was known as the city of fragrance in the Arabian Peninsula. Merchants used to buy homemade Bakhoor and Perfumed Agarwood from housewives and the people who perfected this craft. Our grandmothers and mothers used to craft it. Now, this tradition is still alive and Teeb Aden is trying to pass it on.

Important note: Store Bakhoor in a cool, dark, and dry place.

Bakhoor must be burnt. Normally, well-burnt charcoal is used in order to slowly release its lovely woody and fragrant scents. Also, it can be placed in an electric incense burner. Do not use over high heat. Using quality incense charcoal is important.

How to use with Charcoal Traditional Burners
1- Start burning quality incense charcoal. Let it burn until it forms a layer of ash that is thick enough to ensure slower burning processes for the Bakhoor.
2- Place a small piece of Bakhoor on top of the charcoal.
3- Smoke will slowly rise, spreading the extraordinary scent of our Bakhoor.
4- Let it burn until the smoke stops rising.

How to use with Electric Incense Burners
1- Turn on the burner until it is hot enough.  reaches its heat.
2- Place the Bakhoor on the heating plate.
3- Do not forget to turn off after.

- Burn within sight, away from flammable objects, children and pets.
- Burn on a heat-safe surface.
- Avoid drafts.
- Do not move or touch while hot.
