Dhanyang adalah roh halus yang melindungi suatu tempat atau wilayah seperti pohon, gunung, mata air, desa atau bukit. Dhanyang dipercaya menempati suatu tempat yang disebut punden. Dahulu Dhanyang dipercaya sebagai manusia yang datang ke sebuah daerah yang masih berupa hutan belantara, kemudian membersihkan daerah tersebut dan mendirikan sebuah desa. Dhanyang kemudian berperan menjadi lurah dan pemimpin desa. Maka dia berhak membagikan tanah kepada pengikut dan keturunannya. Dhanyang diyakini secara magis selalu melindungi, mengawasi dan memelihara kesejahteraan desa di suatu tempat. Karya ini adalah khayalan saya tentang sosok Dhanyang yang selalu menjaga keseimbangan system kehidupan. Saya mengumpakannya sebagai makhluk yang menyerupai sosok bunga kenanga, dan sedang berdiri dengan tangan terlentang seolah-olah menjaga agar posisi tetap seimbang dan tidak goyah. Dalam imajinasi seniman, Dhanyang digambarkan menyerupai bunga kenanga dengan tangan terbuka, berdiri tegak seolah menjaga keseimbangan sistem kehidupan. Karya ini relevan untuk koleksi Seni Surealisme Kontemporer, Galeri Seni Jakarta, Seni Asia, dan karya dari Seniman Muda.

This artwork is inspired by the Javanese mythical figure of Dhanyang, the guardian of life's balance. Dhanyang is a spirit that protects a place or region, such as a tree, mountain, spring, village, or hill. It is believed to inhabit a location known as a pundit. In ancient times, Dhanyang was thought to be a human who arrived in the wilderness, cleared the area, and established a village. As the village head and leader, Dhanyang had the authority to allocate land to followers and descendants. It is believed that Dhanyang magically protects, supervises, and maintains the welfare of a village at any place.
The artist imagined it as a creature that resembled a ylang-ylang flower, standing with arms outstretched as if maintaining a steady and unwavering stance. The artist envisioned Dhanyang as a ylang-ylang-like figure standing with arms outstretched, maintaining a steady and unwavering stance, symbolizing the protection and balance of life. Featured in Contemporary Surrealism, Art Gallery Jakarta, Affordable Art Asia, and works by Emerging Artists.
Tentang Seniman :
Desta Aji Saputra lahir pada tahun 1995 di Boyolali. Ia merupakan lulusan S1 dari Institut Seni Indonesia Surakarta dan sudah berkarya lebih dari 2 tahun. Saat ini, Desta sedang menekuni teknik decalcomania yang diadopsi dari Max Ernest. Ia suka menggambar karakter-karakter yang ia dapati dari pembacaan novel ‘Centhini’ karya Elizabeth D Inandiak.
About Artist :
Desta Aji Saputra was born in 1995 in Boyolali. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts in Surakarta and has worked for over two years. Currently, Desta is pursuing the decalcomania technique adopted by Max Ernst.
He enjoys drawing characters inspired by the novel 'Centhini' by Elizabeth D. Inandiak.

That ending 😫

I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me.
I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

oh wow

I just knew there was something about Cooper! I’m wondering if he’s about to be included but damn I’m glad he’s at least not a rapist and creepy guy, he just got called on assignment and had to go! This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Good start to a series

I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read

Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things

I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2.
Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
