Beyond its gorgeous spring flowers and sweet perfume, it also offers incredible autumn interest when its deciduous leaves turn a brilliant, golden yellow. It is a massive, fast-moving climber that demands respect and a solid framework.

To care for 'Rosea', plant it in full sun, ideally against a dark brick wall or dark-stained timber trellis so the pale pink flowers visually "pop" against the background. Guide its flexible, clockwise-twining stems along heavy-duty horizontal wires. Water deeply at the base during dry spells, and ruthlessly cut back the long, leafy summer shoots to ensure the plant channels its energy into next year's pink flower buds.
