This puzzle is both visually appealing and challenging to solve requiring the player to combine information from several different images into the solution.
When not in use all of the pieces and the puzzle book fit inside the lidded game board! I love it when companies manage to produce a game that is contained without any loose parts.
The game includes gems of four different colours and each one is a different shape (circle, square or triangle).
The puzzle book presents clues in a variety of ways. You might be given three different views of the board each with the location of particular specific gems. In later versions of these challenges you will be told the colour of a gem in a location and need to deduce its shape. As the puzzles build in difficulty the clues change.
Playing Diamond Quest stimulates the following cognitive skills: concentration, logic, planning, problem solving and visual perception.
While it says 10+ for the age range my 5 year old will attempt and manage the challenges. This game is also suitable for adults.
