This gorgeous 18k gold curb link bracelet is a truly special piece. It was handmaid in France around 1880, a time when French jewelers were renowned for their craftsmanship and impeccable details. This is a rare piece of jewelry that features a high-domed pale salmon-colored coral cabochon set in a diamond surround. Around the cabochon are 24 rose cut diamonds in an elegantly-crafted shared bead setting. To offset the whiteness of the diamonds, the surround is made of platinum, which compliments the near colorless stones.

Delicate gold prongs hold the cabochon in place, although in actuality, a bar can be seen in the bracelet’s interior securing the coral with a peg. Below the halo is a gallery of reticulated gold arches along the platinum setting.

Evidence of the level of artistry that went into the piece can be seen in its tiny hand carved prongs and intricately carved gallery, which when held under a magnifying glass, reveal skillfully engraved detail. The bracelet’s clasp is married so seamlessly into the curb link that it is completely hidden when the bracelet is worn. The inside of the clasp is marked with an unknown maker’s mark, as well as an eagle’s head, the French hallmark for 18k gold.

The 24 rose cut diamonds have nice facets, are well-shaped, and each stone is approximately 2.5mm. The bracelet contains .95 of a carat in total.

The coral is 12mm x 13mm, and the whole cabochon measures at 16mm x 17mm. The width of the curb link is 9.5mm. The piece weighs 30.6 grams. This is a smaller bracelet that will comfortably fit a 6 5/8 size wrist.
