COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Develop & Lead a Work Team course. This program will equip you with the leadership capabilities, team-building strategies, behavioural insights, and practical tools required to develop cohesive, high-performing work teams. You will explore what a team is, the difference between a group and a team, and what defines a work team in modern organisational settings. This course also examines the many kinds of work team, including self-managed work teams, and compares them with other forms of workplace structures to highlight where teamwork delivers unique value.

This course begins by examining what teams need in order to function effectively and the responsibilities of people in teams. You will explore how teams behave, including the predictable patterns of interaction that emerge over time, and the stages of team development—from forming, storming, norming, and performing to the final mourning stage as teams disband or transition. This section also examines the characteristics of members in the forming stage, the common worries and concerns they experience, and how teams navigate the storming and norming phases before reaching full performance.

A further section explores team composition and behavioural dynamics. You will examine the role and status of team members, what constitutes a ‘balanced’ team, and Belbin’s team roles as a framework for understanding complementary strengths. This section also explores group norms and identifies the possible norms that positively benefit individuals, team performance, and organisational culture. You will also investigate why teams sometimes fail, the reasons behind the lack of success in particular teams, and how poor norms, unclear roles, or weak leadership undermine effectiveness.

The program then focuses on team development and leadership. You will explore your role as a team leader and how to maintain trust and support within the team. This section examines the responsibilities of a work team leader, including guiding performance, setting expectations, supporting development, and facilitating collaboration. You will learn how to deal with conflict through constructive communication, early intervention, and fair decision-making. This section also explores how to build your team, the ways leaders can help team members get on better together, and how to use psychometrics to assess personality and support team understanding.

The next learning area focuses on team relationships and cohesiveness. You will explore how to get to know your team, the importance of team cohesiveness, and the factors that affect cohesiveness—such as shared goals, interpersonal compatibility, and communication patterns. You will also examine the negative aspects of cohesiveness, including groupthink, resistance to new ideas, or exclusion of outsiders, and learn how to balance unity with openness.

The final learning area examines how to develop your team through clear goal-setting, regular feedback, skill development, empowerment, and supportive leadership behaviours. You will explore how ongoing development strengthens capability, boosts confidence, and prepares teams to work more independently and strategically.

By the end of this course you will be able to lead teams effectively, build trust and cohesion, manage conflict, support team development, apply team role frameworks, recognise the behavioural patterns of groups, and develop work teams that are balanced, motivated, and capable of delivering strong organisational outcomes.

Amazing!
Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
This book was phenomenal, I devoured it within a few days! For this being a debut novel, it is fantastic and I would’ve thought the author was a seasoned author. I have zero complaints about this book. Let me start by saying that the world building was phenomenal. I could picture everything in my head because of how detailed it was — that’s how good it was written. And I absolutely love the “captive/captor” trope so much, it’s become one of my favorite tropes, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this book had that. I loved the banter between Rogue and Ara — they’re both snarky and witty, plus with the romantic tension, it made the dialogue that much better. Speaking of romantic tension, yes there is spice but not so much of it that it overrides the plot, which I loved. For me, this would probably be on the 3/5 level of spice. This book had a ton of plot twists and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

High on Tropes and Satisfaction
Format: Kindle
This is a great Romantasy book full of action, adventure, and everything you look for in this genre. I won’t lie: it does kinda feel like the author found every common trope from every successful book of this kind and threw them all into this novel. But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially in romance, there’s a large audience who has specific expectations, and they want them every time. Nothing wrong with that and many times I’m one of them. I have no idea what defines a spoiler honestly, so spoiler alert!!!!!!! Tropes include: Only one bed at the inn/bar Dissatisfaction with life before hunk appears Lost royalty The chosen one Montage of dress up time followed by shocked hunk Forbidden romance between two from rival peoples Power that cannot be controlled, simply guided/asked Gathering intel at the inn/bar FMC who knows how to fight/use weapons well There’s probably more but no need to list them all. Good story and I would recommend!

OUTSTANDING
Format: Kindle
This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.

Definitely worth the read!
Format: Kindle
After taking a deep breath and taking in that wicked twist of an ending, I have finally composed myself. My first thought when I started this book was that I love Reyna's character. I was intrigued by her connection with her familiar and the Ruin that is plaguing her land. It came as no surprise that she took her sister's place in an attempt to protect her. When they reach the Air Court everything slows down. This is where it was iffy for me. First of all, I like multiple POV's in books however 7 is a bit much. It starts to interrupt the story line. I felt like I was finally making progress connecting with one character, then it was switched to another person. I felt they all had necessary or pertinent information but not necessarily were they all POV worthy. The only other thing that annoyed me was that Reyna constantly was " trapped." She would rush off without thinking, only to need rescuing. She is brilliant in a fight, but she really doesn't think through anything. Lorcan is amazing. I know he might be on the "bad" list, but his background is so interesting. Eislyn(Reyna's sister) is really so sweet, but calculating. I enjoyed her and Thane's dialogue. The author did an amazing job with the imagery in this book. Everything was so detailed it was easy to fall into the scene. I love unexpected twists and while part of the ending I expected, I wasn't expecting how it took place. All in all, I found it very entertaining and I am very invested in continuing this series. Favorite quotes: "The truth may be twisted but never false." "Who was she if she was not the enemy of the Air Court? What was her purpose of she no longer has that?" "In a war-torn land, love was always a lie."

Great Read!!! Great story!!!
Format: Kindle
The series is long, but Ms. Wolfhart does a fantastic job of weaving this tale while bringing so much to the characters. Surprises and plot twists along the way to keep you intrigued. There is some graphic sex, but is no way the focal point. Grammar was excellent (a rare find with a lot of self publishers) with only a few noted errors. I rarely give 4 stars, let alone 5.
