“The lion’s journey from the bush to the palace began very early on as evidenced in the temples of ancient Egypt. This sacred beast has been revered as a symbol of all traits humans have come to admire – strength, courage, loyalty and protector. “Lionheart” imitates the beloved king as he has just left the throne and confidently makes his way through his kingdom. I tried to capture a sense of his massive size and focused the viewer’s attention on the large ‘dinner plate' size paws as they pad the path.
When a king at the prime of his power steps down from the throne and parades down the aisle, he doesn’t walk so much as he swaggers. A pride male wears his mane like a luxurious cloak. His great sense of himself exudes confidence. Every creature knows he is king and reacts accordingly as he approaches." - John Banovich

Good value for a $55 boot.

I like these boots because I have a wide foot and even though I bought the 12 and NOT the 12W there is plenty of width. Very comfortable boot. I have put this pair through about 1000 miles mostly on asphalt, ice and snow. Very little actual dirt/ rocky trails. I bought them for the waterproofness and ankle support. Now the soles are getting thin and I can feel small rocks through the soles. Plus the soles are beginning to separate from the uppers and they are no longer waterproof. Not bad for 1000 miles. Still, I feel For a $55 boot they are a good value. I am 6ft and weigh 250.

Worth Every Penny!

I absolutely love these boots! They are super light, comfortable and definitely waterproof. I took them on a camping trip for the weekend and I walked through creeks and puddles with no issues at all. No water got inside and they were comfortable all weekend. The only thing was the tongue did start to bother me a bit after the 3rd day. I have some pretty boney shins but a small cloth between my shins and the tongue helped a lot.
