Reproduction of Early Morning Beach by Silvia Vassileva
Silvia Vassileva — "Early Morning Beach" is a masterful example of contemporary painterly realism, where the artist transcends mere representation to evoke a profound sense of temporal and atmospheric stillness. Vassileva's technique, characterized by soft, blended brushstrokes and a restrained palette, aligns with the tradition of Impressionism and its modern offshoots, particularly in its emphasis on capturing the fleeting quality of light and mood. The composition is defined by a deliberate asymmetry, with the lifeguard station positioned off-center, creating a dynamic balance that draws the viewer's eye across the expansive, horizontally oriented canvas. This use of negative space is not merely compositional; it functions as a visual metaphor for the vastness of the sea and sky, emphasizing the solitude of the subject. The color palette, dominated by warm beiges and soft blues, is executed with a low-contrast approach that enhances the painting's meditative quality, allowing the subtle gradations of light to define form rather than sharp lines. The work is situated within the broader tradition of landscape painting, yet it is distinctly contemporary in its focus on the quiet, uneventful moments of coastal life, offering a contemplative counterpoint to more dramatic or action-oriented depictions of the sea. Vassileva's choice to depict a man-made structure within a natural setting invites reflection on the relationship between humanity and the environment, rendering the lifeguard station not as a symbol of intervention, but as a quiet testament to the enduring rhythm of the coast. For more art by Silvia Vassileva click here.

Jarvis pocket companion
Format: Paperback
got it for nursing school at UT Tyler. Love it as it's a great little resource to haul around everywhere which has a significant amount of great information which is needed for my classes and clinicals. Highly recommend it but due note that the 8th edition contains the same information merely a few pages are numbered differently and that older edition was nearly $30 less in price. Just an FYI if looking to save a few bucks...

Format: Paperback
Paid for a new book. It arrived very clearly used. It is in decent condition but it is frustrating paying that much for something to arrive used with damage.

Great Read
Format: Hardcover
Have always loved John Mark Comer's voice and tone as an author. He breaks down heavy and emotional concepts in an easy to read and understand way backed by scripture.
