The SWAT version of the Scapegoat Compact is the configuration that does not ask for attention. Solid black aluminum handle, DLC black MagnaMax blade, black hardware, black clip. Everything matches because nothing is meant to stand out. Ramon Chavez designed the platform to be compact and capable, and this version strips away any color that might get in the way of that.

Full Black Throughout Every element of this version matches.

  • DLC black MagnaMax blade
  • Black hardware and black deep carry clip throughout

There is no contrast, no secondary color, no detail that draws the eye. That is the entire point of the SWAT configuration.

MagnaMax Under DLC MagnaMax is Pro-Tech's proprietary blade steel built to push wear resistance beyond standard MagnaCut while keeping the corrosion resistance and toughness needed for real daily carry.

  • Exceptional edge retention under sustained use
  • Strong corrosion resistance
  • DLC coating adds protection and eliminates any reflective surface on the blade

In the all-black SWAT configuration, the DLC finish is both functional and visually essential.

Ramon Chavez Design Ramon Chavez of Chaves Knives designed the Scapegoat Compact around a specific brief: take everything that worked about the original Scapegoat and make it smaller without making it weaker.

  • Clip point geometry built for aggressive cutting and piercing capability
  • Clean lines with no wasted material
  • A compact size that does not feel compromised when the blade is open

Pro-Tech Push Button Automatic Pro-Tech's coil spring automatic fires the Scapegoat Compact with full authority regardless of the size of the package.

  • Single push deploys instantly
  • Button/plunge lock holds solid under load
  • Short deep carry clip keeps it accessible without printing

Made in the USA Pro-Tech has been manufacturing knives in Placentia, California since 1994. Every Scapegoat Compact is machined and assembled in-house to Pro-Tech's own tolerances. The fit, finish, and action reflect that.

Why This One Stands Out The SWAT configuration is the Scapegoat Compact at its most functional. No color, no contrast, no hardware detail competing for attention. Just a compact Chavez-designed automatic with MagnaMax under DLC and Pro-Tech's push button action.

If you want the Scapegoat Compact and you want it to disappear, this is the one.

Likeable characters, but only 75% complete story
Format: Kindle
I really liked the characters introduced, but the author didn’t fully conceptualize everything. We know Lila works long hours, but despite being a college graduate we never learn anything about what she does, where she works, how much she gets paid, etc. For an omega who seemed to be able to support herself, that seemed an unusual oversight. We learn absolutely nothing about what she wants in life, either. Is she just surviving the post-college life struggle or working up to her dream job? Fiona the flamingo had more detail than some of the main characters, but she was 10/10 as good as Wendy for a side character. — spoilers ahead —- Separately, some of the plot details were contradictory, or just missing. On one page Lila and Larry were together for 18 months, on another it was 4 years. When did she even move in with him? What did she do while he was gaming? How long were she and Wendy friends for Lila to trust her like that but not know much about her? And why didn’t Lila’s alphas sue Larry to reduce Lila’s debt? Shopping seemed a weird choice pamper her without knowing more about Lila’s debt and plans to reduce it. And her alphas never even ask anything about her job, but she’s The One. Such a frustrating relationship plot hole. We never even learn anything about the alphas’ families or what they want in life either. I wish the author had written about 30 more pages fleshing out the details and showing how the alphas were just as in love with Lila’s personality as they were with her scent and body. Loved the concept, but I still feel like I read 3/4 of a book.

It's mid
Format: Kindle
There's a cute story there. The guys are sweet, but... I don't know. It's very vanilla. Not just the mediocre spicy scenes, but the whole story. It's just ok.

Short, cute, straight to the point
Format: Kindle
This is the type of fast pace stories I love to read. I felt nothing felt incomplete. Everything went together. Loved the men loved the best friend and the Fmc. Definitely would recommend this book.

Fun, Steamy, and Just Enough Depth
Format: Kindle
I liked this book — it was cute, short, and exactly what I expected from a quick Omegaverse read. While it doesn’t dive too deeply into character development, there was enough personality and backstory sprinkled in to keep the relationships believable and engaging, especially given the length. What I really appreciated was that the focus stayed on the main characters and their connection. The heat, the banter, and the romance were front and center without getting bogged down in unnecessary drama. It made for an easy, enjoyable read that flowed smoothly from start to finish. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. There was a teaser blurb at the end, but it isn’t up on Amazon yet — hopefully it’ll be posted soon so I can add it to my wish list.

Good But
Format: Kindle
A little disjointed at times, at least to me. This was about Lila (omega woman) and Harrison, Wesley and River (alpha males). The main characters were likeable, as was Lila's friend, Wendy. Lila finally wised up and left the alpha she had been with for a couple of years because he was an a-hole, who treated and used her horribly. She knew some, if not all, of the guys from college if I remember correctly. The guys had been looking for an omega to bond with for some time. When Lila saw Harrison again, the other two guys were out on a date with another omega but Harrison refused to go because he didn't like her. He saw Lila again and knew she was the omega they had been searching for. However, it wasn't easy for them to convince Lila of that because of the way her ex-alpha treated her. The sex was hot. There was one inconsistency. I could almost swear that when Lila first saw Harrison again, she told her best friend, Wendy, that Harrison was the lead for his pack. Then later on when she's spending time with River, she thinks he is the pack's lead. Maybe I read something incorrectly. All in all, a good story.
