Designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell, the Eleganza Nia Chair is part of a sophisticated seating collection that bridges the gap between high-fashion (Haute Couture) and industrial design. While the Louis Ghost is famous for its transparency, the Eleganza Nia Chair series focuses on texture, comfort, and "bon ton" Italian style. The Nia is the more structured, "armchair" version of the collection (paired with its sibling, the Ela, which has a more rounded, purist backrest). Starck’s goal was to create a seat that feels like a tailored garment—fluid, soft, and discreetly luxurious. Features higher, slightly more angular armrests compared to the Ela, providing a structured but "sinuous" embrace. The base is crafted from recycled and recyclable thermoplastic technopolymer, often sourced from industrial waste (such as recycled coffee capsules). Awarded the Red Dot: Best of the  ideal for those who want the prestige of a Starck design without the clinical look of bare plastic. It offers the plush comfort of a lounge chair with the material efficiency of a dining chair.
