Lotus Planting Instructions

Plant in wide, shallow containers or in the shallow end of your pond, plant in heavy loam soil in wide, shallow containers  (16-30 inches wide) with a few inches of water over the soil. Place your lotus container in a sunny location outdoors. In a week or ten days, you should have coin leaves on the surface of the water, a week or so after that you should have aerial leaves growing out of the water. Once you have aerial leaves, it is time to fertilize your lotus plant.

Lotus Fertilizing Instructions

Fertilize your sacred lotus plant monthly with fertilizer tabs throughout the growing/blooming season. (June through September). Simply press the fertilizer tabs into the soil near the roots of your lotus plant being careful not to damage the roots of the lotus plant. Your lotus should grow and bloom the very first year!
