INTRODUCTION TO GLASSBLOWINGIn each session students will learn about the glass studio, its equipment, the tools used and the basics of glassblowing. Each student will have the opportunity to create their own piece of glass art with the assistance of the instructor from one of the following forms: a small vase, a stemless wine glass or a drinking glass. In each session students will learn about the glass studio, its equipment, the tools used and the basics of glassblowing. Each student will have the opportunity to create their own piece of glass art with the assistance of the instructor from one of the following forms: a small vase, a stemless wine glass or a drinking glass. Pieces will be available for pickup a minimum of 48 hours following completion of the class. This is a 2 hour class for 1 person.

This is a 2 hour class for 1 person. If you would like to sign-up with a friend, sign-up for 2 consecutive time slots. (4 hours) Students have the choice of mouth-blowing, using an alternate inflation method with a foot pedal and compressed air or a blowpipe hose extension or a combination thereof. If you have been sick recently or are exhibiting cold symptoms rescheduling is requested. (minimum 24 hours notice)

Supplies: We supply safety glasses (if you wear glasses for both distance and reading those are fine), Cotton clothing and closed-toe shoes required. A water bottle or other drink is recommended. Feel free to take pictures if you like. Note: For safety, classes will be rescheduled should the heat index exceed 95 during class time.
