In prehistory [backed by a plethora of excavations and research of the habitat of Neolithic man] a hand adze is a familiar and typical style that transcends thousands of years, and across many countries around the world. This design is found from the heart of Africa and up, through to the United Kingdom, where it is difficult to tell one from another without expert location (open field discovery) OFD notes.

This OFD was discovered in the Western Sahara Desert, where Nomads and Berbers discover such relics whilst traversing the North African deserts. These relics are continually unveiled and re-covered by the winds making such discoveries more difficult than one would suspect.
