Safari is pleased to announce the release of the SS88HPE and SS89HPE ARMAX Snorkels. These snorkels suit the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series fitted with a 5.7L 3UR-FE V8 Petrol engine. The SS88HPE model is designed and engineered for the prefacelift and the SS89HPE fits the 2016-facelifted model. With the popularity of performance upgrades using engine management and larger exhausts, Safari 4x4 engineering designed a snorkel system that raised the air intake to prevent the ingestion of harmful elements into the air cleaner. It also will be able to deliver the necessary volume of air into the engine maximizing performance. Improved air flow is only one aspect that sets these snorkels apart from the competition. The Safari ARMAX snorkel air ram is designed to perform two important roles. The first is to funnel cool, clean air into the snorkel body. Secondly, the Safari ARMAX air ram acts as a highly efficient water separator to remove rain water from the incoming air stream. HOLY CRAP!!!!
So my 2005 Durango has a 5.7 and I put on 253,000 miles on it before it blew a head gasket. Since it was summer, iI decided I'd tackle it myself. The upper end was so full of gunk, I can't believe I hadn't had serious issues. Anyway, I apparently dropped some pieces of crud down the oil channels, 'cuz after putting it all back together, I got alarms for low oil pressure. Figuring I'd try anything else before replacing the oil pump, i gave this stuff a try. WOW!!!! Not only did the oil pressure return, the engine runs SO much smoother! I had forgotten how smooth it ran when it was new. The caveat is that apparently the gunk was the only thing keeping some areas from leaking - as it lost oil at a startling rate. 1 bottle of the Liqui Oil Saver though, and within a week the oil leaks completely stopped.

Awesome!!
Had a check engine light come on for cam shaft position. Did some research online about the specific code and found that I could be due to sludge in the engine. Added this and ran for about 30 minutes and then had the oil changed.
The light never came back on and the engine is running smooth and quiet.
Will definitely use again.
