The religions of Bronze Age Asia Minor, like most religions of the ancient world, were polytheistic by nature. They were closely related with one another, with the weather god being of particular importance amongst the many deities worshipped (perhaps reflecting the harsh climactic conditions of much of the country). Amongst the Hittites, however, the Sun goddess was apparently the most important deity; she was the goddess of battle, and the patron deity of the Hittite kings. The weather god took second place; he was her consort, and the god of battle. This is a carved illustration which includes the Mesopotamian god of wisdom, Ea (Enki), storm-god Teshub, Hebat, Sharruma and Arinna. Yazilikaya (Turkish; inscribed rock) was a sanctuary of Hattusa, the capital city of the Hittite Empire, today in the center of Anatolia. Rock reliefs are a prominent aspect of Hittite art, and these are generally regarded as the most important group.

I am so glad this is availbe in the states now.
I first had Mr's Ball's in Southern Africa in 2006 while on Safari in Namibia and Botswana. It was so good I packed quite a few bottles to take home. It goes great with meat, cheese, on sandwiches, just a fantastic flavor. I'm now spoiled and can NOT buy any of the "usual" chutney's available to us in the States. So I keep well stocked now thanks to Amazon.

There so much flavor without it oozing all over the place.
I am so happy I found this chutney. It is perfect consistency to spread on bread to make our chutney sandwiches. The double bottle buy is the way to go. Always have one back up ready to go.

Delicious Peach Chutney - Perfect with Samosas!
We get frozen samosas and heat them up in the oven for 15 minutes, then serve them with this delicious peach chutney. I've been enjoying this chutney since I lived in Africa and am so happy I can get some at amazon whenever we are close to running out. This will become essential to your life once you taste how delicious it is. My husband also put it on a rice dish I threw together with some stir fried rice, corn, rotisserie chicken pieces and a few chopped up pieces of sweet onion. You do what you can to keep dinner on the table! With the samosas and the chutney half the work is done! I'll keep getting this and I liked that the bottles arrived nicely packaged in bubble wrap so they didn't break! I have to compliment my delivery people, they all treat my packages gently! You may also love this chutney with curry or mix it with mayonnaise and stir it with some sliced bananas as we used to do in Africa. It also works in curried chicken salad. So lots of ideas! ~The Rebecca Review
