The Jesse Jumpsuit is our answer to wanting an all-in-one outfit for true comfort, style and casual charm that’s suitable all year round. The design includes hints of tailoring with the collar, lapels and welt pocket along with practical features such as a roomy trouser, long sleeves, deep side pockets and a flattering elasticated waistband. There is also the option to add more of a worker wear look with additional topstitching details.

Fit-wise, this cut is relaxed but not oversized. The torso is cut to finish just above the hip with the elasticated waistband pulling it up to sit on your waist. The overall rise is elongated, with the back rise slightly more baggy than fitted, leaving enough room for the fabric to skim the hips and thighs.

This piece really benefits from slow and considered making, which maximizes each design detail and achieves a finish you’ll be proud of.

Construction techniques: Welt pocket, french seam side pockets, collar with neck facing, full sleeve, elasticated waistband, mock fell seams, topstitching details and optional zip fastening.

Fabric requirements: 
150 cm wide fabric: Sizes 4 – 12, 250 cm // Sizes 14 – 20, 290 cm // Sizes 22 – 28, 310 cm.
110 cm wide fabric: Sizes 4 – 12, 340 cm // Sizes 14 – 20, 350 cm // Sizes 22 – 28, 420 cm.

Notions:
* Fusing - An 80cm length of light-medium weight good quality iron-on fusing
* Elastic - A length of elastic roughly 3cm wide. Please refer to the size chart to find the length for your size
* Thread - you can choose either a matching or contrasting thread. If you plan to use an overlocker, you’ll need 4 spools of thread.
* For this pattern, we use the SELF fabric for the pocket bags and the waistband. If you’d prefer to use lighter-weight cotton, you’ll need a small square of fabric to fit the pocket pieces (13 & 15) and a long, narrow strip for the waistband (20).
