INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the Carry Out Intermediate Rigging to Move & Position Loads course. This course only includes a challenge assessment designed to assess your knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competence in planning and performing intermediate rigging activities to move, control and position loads safely, including selecting and inspecting rigging equipment, applying working-at-heights controls, and completing load movement and placement tasks in accordance with legislative, regulatory and workplace requirements.

Carrying out intermediate rigging involves using rigging equipment, lifting gear and controlled methods to prepare loads for lifting, shifting and placement so that movement is stable, predictable and coordinated with plant operators and other personnel. This work requires disciplined control of hazards such as suspended loads, pinch points, dropped objects, unstable load behaviour, changing load angles, shared lift conditions and work-at-height exposure during equipment installation or connection. Effective intermediate rigging practice is critical to preventing load loss, uncontrolled swing, structural damage and serious injury, and relies on accurate calculations, correct equipment selection, reliable communication and strict exclusion of non-compliant gear from use.

The course assessment focuses on your ability to interpret and apply intermediate rigging requirements, make informed judgements about equipment compliance, load behaviour and risk controls, and recognise the practical steps required to execute rigging tasks safely under typical worksite conditions. You will be required to demonstrate how you interpret work instructions and associated documentation, confirm intermediate rigging requirements with relevant persons, and plan rigging work to comply with legislation, regulations, standards, codes, WHS obligations, environmental requirements and workplace procedures.

By successfully completing this course assessment, you will have demonstrated that you can interpret and apply the core requirements for intermediate rigging to move and position loads, including correctly slinging whole loads and part loads to achieve encapsulation and stability, attaching and using load steerage lines to control movement, planning lift order to minimise double lifts, connecting and checking lifting gear through test lifts, moving and securing loads using standard communication signals, and completing removal, dismantling, inspection, logbook and site record requirements, clean-up, waste management and correct storage of equipment—confirming your readiness to conduct intermediate rigging tasks safely within lifting operations.

TOPICS COVERED IN THIS ASSESSMENT:

This course assessment is based on the following topics:

1.    Interpreting work instructions and associated documentation and confirming intermediate rigging requirements with relevant persons

2.    Planning intermediate rigging work to comply with legislation, regulations, standards, codes, WHS, environmental and workplace requirements

3.    Establishing the work area using required safety signage and barricades and selecting and fitting task-appropriate PPE

4.    Selecting intermediate rigging resources, materials and equipment in accordance with load charts and job requirements

5.    Inspecting lifting equipment to manufacturer and workplace requirements and identifying compliance or defects

6.    Labelling, rejecting and disposing of non-compliant lifting equipment to prevent use under any circumstances

7.    Determining and selecting elevated work platforms and other mechanical access systems required for rigging tasks

8.    Installing fall arrest equipment with ground level installation and applying working-at-heights requirements

9.    Determining and selecting personnel cartage systems (including man boxes) in accordance with job and safety requirements

10. Calculating and confirming load mass and load distribution, including load share distribution and load angle factors

11. Slinging whole loads to ensure full encapsulation and protection to prevent uncontrolled movement

12. Slinging part loads correctly to achieve full encapsulation of the part load and maintain stability

13. Attaching load steerage lines and using them to prevent unnecessary load movement during lifting or shifting

14. Performing load movement and placement activities, including lift order planning to minimise double lifts, connecting lifting gear, performing test lifts, moving loads safely, securing loads, and using standard communication signals

15. Removing and dismantling intermediate rigging equipment, inspecting for wear, completing logbooks and site records, and completing clean-up including environmentally responsible waste management and storing tools and equipment properly

The Best Disposable Dinner Plates I’ve Ever Used!
Size: 500 Count (Pack of 1), Color: Brown
The Best Disposable Dinner Plates I’ve Ever Used! We’ve been so happy with the other JOLLY CHEF products that we decided to try this larger pack of dinner plates too, and honestly, these are the best disposable dinner plates I’ve ever used. They’re sturdy, hold up well with heavier meals, and don’t get flimsy or soggy like many disposable plates do. I also appreciate that they’re made from sugarcane fiber instead of foam or plastic-coated paper products. They’ve been especially great for RV trips, family gatherings, and busy days when saving water and skipping a sink full of dishes is a huge plus. The large bulk pack is convenient to keep on hand, and I like that they’re eco-friendly and compostable while still feeling durable enough for real meals. Very happy with this purchase. I hope that this review helps you decide. I know it’s what I would’ve liked to hear when picking out compostable disposable plates.

Great paper plates
Size: 300 Count (Pack of 1), Color: Brown
I am very happy with the purchase of these plates as a healthier alternative to the coated paper plates you can buy in store. I was worried that they would get flimsy with wet foods but in my experience they hold their form and do the job intended and are durable. The size is great and allows a lot of food. I feel like thw price is fair and the quality is good. They are not decorated like the plates that are in store but I don't care about it being pretty. No harmful plastic or coating. Will definitely be a reoccurring purchase for our household.

Super awesome plates
Size: 125 Count (Pack of 1), Color: White
These plates are so awesome! They are perfect for outdoor gatherings and for times you just don't want to wash dishes. They are very durable and strong. They don't leak through and they look nice too. I'm definitely buying more when I need them.
