Pope John Paul II lived from May 1920 to April 2005. He was the second longest serving Pope
in history and the first non-Italian since Adrian who died in 1523. John Paul is recognized as one

in Poland and eventually in all of Europe. He improved relations with other world religions and supported
many reforms within the Church. He visited 129 countries during his pontificate making him one of the
