Ruby and Sapphire are the same material, the mineral Corundum, and the second hardest gemstone after Diamond. Red Corundum is known as Ruby, while all other colors are referred to as Sapphire. While blue is the classic Sapphire color, Sapphires are actually found in a wide range of colors, including yellow, pink and green. The coloring agents in blue Sapphire are iron and titanium and in violet stones, Vanadium. Small amounts of iron impurity will result in yellowish and greenish stones. Chromium will produce pinks and iron and Vanadium will produce orange tones as well. Rutile needle inclusions will result in a silky shine to the stone. If these needles are aligned in the same direction, this causes the six-rayed "Star" effect. Like Rubies, Sapphires can display a 6-point asterism called “Star Sapphires”. Sapphires are considered one of the four Precious Stones; the Sapphire, the Emerald, the Ruby and the Diamond.
- Sapphires come from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Tanzania, and the Kashmir region of India. Today, Sri Lanka and Madagascar produce most of the fine Sapphires on the market. Throughout history, Sapphires were gemstones of the highest level. In Folklore, the Sapphire was believed to be a talisman that would protect against evil spirits and demons of the night. The Ancients regarded Sapphires as a powerful talisman protecting travelers and seekers. In contemporary stone folklore, they are believed to enhance focus and creativity, and still to protect from evil spirits.

A favorite for my small destroyers

My small destroyer dogs LOVE these toys and are always surprised to find another toy after the first and second violent de-stuffing. Definitely a supervision toy for safety, but my terriers love doing their thing when these come out and they last much longer than I had anticipated. Color, design and value all as described, however I literally do not remember if it did squeak because the squeaker would be the first thing gone

It looks like a Totoro

Great toy ! Pibble loves it! an it looks just like a Totoro which is huge plus at our house. These are very durable and once de gloved the body will last a very long time if your dog isn’t a big chewer.

Very fun toy at a great price

My dog (an American Staffordshire Terrier) lovessss to chew and destroy things! We have literally gotten three of these because she loves them so much, and they last, too!! You get the first toy, which my dog rips open. I’m not sure exactly how long it takes for her to destroy it, maybe a few days to a week. Then another little toy (with a sad face lol) is revealed. She highly enjoys this one, as well! Finally, she rips the fabric off that and then a blue, spiky ball is revealed. She lovesss to chew on it and I think the bumps are a nice texture for her mouth. She is quite a strong chewer and the ball lasts a long time!! No toy lasts forever and I have found under dog toys are quite expensive and that’s no guarantee of how long it will actually last. But I am perfectly fine with spending ~$11 every once in a while for these toys because I know she loves them, and they are not immediately destroyed.

Would happily purchase again.

My powerchewer of a dog destroys plushies in 10 minutes and most other 'tough chew' toys don't last more than a day or two - at most. But he loves his hedgehog and hasn't managed to destroy it! Sure, it has a plethora of teeth marks, but it's in one piece and he hasn't managed to bite off any chunks (I was worried about the hedgies nose 😂). It stands up to his teeth and allows him to satisfy his need to gnaw & chew, safely.
