Frame: 2021 Saltair Cycle Randonneur

This bike is a custom build by Saltair Cycles in Salt Lake City. They built the frame, fork, and rack in 2021. It has less than 1,000 miles on it and it in fantastic condition. The geometry is based on Jan Heine's (Rene Herse) Rando bike geometry and designed to work well with a front bag. The lighting system is a SON Connectorless system which is integrated into the fork and routed through the frame to the rear light. The fork is a custom fork which weighs less than 1,000 grams - (light for steel) and it has the SON Connecter less connection at the thru axle (no wire to attach to the Hub).

Tubing: Rene Herse steel in the rear triangle, Reynolds stainless fork blades, - Reynolds stainless steel downtube, Reynolds stainless steel head tube, Columbus HSS seat tube and top tube. Bi-Lam Filet brazed construction - tapered down tube 34.9-31.8, TT tapered 31.8-28.6.

Wheelset: No wheelset is included. There is an option to add the Fulcrum Rapid Red 3 wheelset with the SONdeluxe 12 Connectorless hub for an additional $1,000 - message with requests before purchasing. The wheelset is not included in the listing price.

Fenders: Fern Bicycles carbon fenders ($300)

Frame Bag: Berthoud Sans Decaleur 25 ($500) frame bag mounted to a custom front rack made by Saltair Cycles. One of the tubular carbon rods in the Berthoud bag was damaged in shipping, we are working to this small detail fixed/replaced.

Tire Clearance: 40mm with fenders, more without the fenders mounted

Brake type: Flat-Mount disc brake.

Size: 58cm. 580mm Effective Top Tube. Stack - 606mm. Head tube 200mm. A full geometry chart is shown in the last picture. 

Condition: No cracks or carbon defects were identified through a thorough visual inspection. The cosmetic imperfections to highlight include: Some rub wear on the head tube shown in pic #9, and a scratch on the chainstay shown in pic #10. We have attempted to show all noticeable imperfections in specific close-up pictures, however other minor imperfections and light signs of use may exist.

Groupset compatibility: Frame can be setup for Di2, EPS, eTap, or mechanical groupsets. This frame was previously setup with an eTap groupset. Other frame/cable stops may be needed for Di2 or mechanical setups. Mechanical cable guide below the bottom bracket intact.

Bottom bracket: English threaded bottom bracket shell type. No bottom bracket currently installed or included. We have a handful of lightly used basic bottom brackets on hand, let us know what you need and we can try to ship the frame with the right bottom bracket installed. Additionally, CyclingUpgrades is a Ceramicspeed and Cane Creek Authorized Dealer, if you prefer to have the frame setup with a certain bottom bracket we can add and install it at an additional cost before shipping - message with inquiries/requests.

Steerer length: 80mm of steerer above the top tube. 40mm of spacers below the stem plus the headset cover. We may have an option available to safely extend the steerer tube by 15-18mm - message us for additional details.

Seatpost: 27.2mm diameter. No seatpost included. 

Dropout Spacing: Front 12mm Thru Axle x 100mm, Rear 12mm Thru Axle x 142mm.

Weight: 3630 grams as pictured with headset, thru axles, Lights, Front Rack, frame hardware, etc.
