This insulated Contractors Fork from the Carters Shocksafe range is the perfect tool for utility workers and contractors working around live infrastructure. Its sturdy insulated construction is ideal for breaking up heavy soils and hardcore whilst digging trenches for pipes and other utilities.
The shaft and handle of this Heavy Contractors Fork are manufactured from a solid fibreglass core with a polypropylene outer sleeve. This combination of materials insulates the fork to meet the requirements of BS8020:2011 Tools For Live Working and offers the durability expected from a contractor's tool. The oversized handle makes working with gloves in winter easy and comfortable.
The head of this fork features four prongs and is forged from a single piece of steel, making it exceptionally strong and capable of working some of the toughest uncultivated soils. The head of this fork is 205mm wide and 305mm long, allowing you to dig deep into the ground, breaking up soil ready for excavation with a shovel or spade of your choice.
