Why use an automatic watch winder?

Important note: the blue LED lighting is only present on the Duo (2 slots) and Squad (4 slots) versions. The Solo (1 slot) version does not include the LED — it is the ideal choice if you prefer a completely sober and natural walnut wood look, or for use in a bedroom where night light would be bothersome.

TPD (Turns Per Day) by brand: Rolex 650 TPD → Mode 3. Omega Seamaster 800 TPD → Mode 3. TAG Heuer 650 TPD → Mode 3. IWC 650 TPD → Mode 3. Breitling 800 TPD → Mode 3. Cartier 650 TPD → Mode 3. If you don't know the exact TPD of your watch, Mode 3 (bi-directional) is the universal choice that suits the vast majority of modern automatic watches. For sensitive complications (perpetual calendar, tourbillon), prefer Mode 4 which is gentler on the mechanism.
Optimal use: the WoodWind can operate continuously 24/7 without risk to your watch — programmed pause cycles prevent overwinding. For Duo and Squad versions, the blue LED lighting can be activated in display mode (presentation, evening) or deactivated in discreet mode (daily use, bedroom). Power consumption is minimal, with no heat emission.
