The Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser restores the skin’s natural pH balance while gently removing impurities. Maintaining a pH level between 5.0 and 6.0, it supports the skin’s protective barrier, ensuring oil and moisture levels remain well-regulated.

We love this cleanser for its ability to act as an essential ‘Second Skin’ layer immediately upon use. Its light gel texture glides smoothly across the face, cleansing without stripping moisture, leaving skin feeling refreshed yet comfortably hydrated. This balance makes it suitable for daily use, offering a clinical approach to cleansing that respects skin integrity.

Key Ingredients:

  • Green Plum Extract: Rich in antioxidants, it helps to detoxify and revitalise the complexion while promoting a balanced skin barrier.
  • pH 5.5 Formulation: Maintains the optimal acidity of the skin to protect against environmental stressors and preserve natural moisture.
  • Gentle Cleansing Agents: Effectively remove dirt and skin waste without disrupting the skin’s natural oils, preventing dryness.
  • Hydrating Gel Base: Provides sustained moisture retention post-cleansing, avoiding the tightness commonly associated with cleansers.

How to Use:

  1. Dispense an appropriate amount onto damp hands, then massage gently over the face.
  2. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  3. Pat the skin dry and proceed with your skincare routine.

The Ritual Tip: For enhanced efficacy, follow the cleanser with a hydrating toner while the skin is still slightly damp to lock in moisture and reinforce the skin’s barrier function for a fortified, radiant complexion.

Video lectures, just as the subtitle promises
I was seduced into buying this set on the basis of NT Wright's reputation and advertising graphics showing Holy Land locations. Consequently, I didn't pay sufficient attention to the subtitle: "The New Testament in Its World: Video Lectures." And "lectures" is exactly what this set delivers. Talking heads, lecturing on the New Testament; sometimes in a studio, sometimes in eastern Mediterranean locations. The content is solid evangelical biblical scholarship. My disappointment is the almost complete lack of engagement with the spectacular settings much of these films are shot in. It seems to me that Wright and his producers missed a real opportunity by failing more explicitly to relate their lecture content to the places where they're standing. I give this set a three-star rating. The lectures are a perfectly fine introduction to the New Testament, if that's what you're looking for -- but you could put them on CDs or MP3s and listen in the car. The graphics add very little to these presentations.

Didn't get a lot out of it
My wife got me this for a Christmas present. Having previously made it through Eusebius' "Proof of the Gospel", she figured I could handle it. I know this is part of Zondervan's Academic product line and as such is not aimed at a general audience. What I discover was that if the audience lacks credentials in Philosophy or Theology, the incessant use of jargon and terminology that would most often only be encountered in a Seminary or Religious College is something I found off-putting.

Respectful Critics
Format: Paperback
Wright and Bird do an excellent job of discussing the New Testament. They offer insights from the most widely held opinions and then offer their own with a multitude of resources. It is an excellent resources within its self.

Best-in-class New Testament study
Format: Paperback
Excellent “Summa of the Summa” from NT Wright, a major modern theologian. Suitable for serious Catholic bible study, but not for lightweights. DVDs could be improved with more active material, and Bird’s Aussie accent is problematic for some US audiences.
