The Olympus Mju I (µ[mju:]) is a compact 35mm autofocus film camera designed for portability and fully automated operation. It is equipped with a fixed Olympus 35 mm f/3.5 lens, using a 4-element, 4-group optical design optimized for sharpness and contrast within a compact form factor.
The camera features active infrared autofocus with focus lock, ensuring accurate subject acquisition in everyday shooting conditions. Exposure control is fully automatic, managed by a programmed AE system, with a shutter speed range from 1/15 to 1/500 s. Film sensitivity is automatically set via DX coding, supporting ISO 50–3200.
Metering is handled by a TTL center-weighted system, calibrated for reliable exposure across varying light levels. The built-in automatic flash supports multiple modes including auto, fill, and flash-off, with a guide number of approximately GN 10 (ISO 100).
The clamshell sliding cover serves as both lens protection and power switch, enhancing readiness and durability. Additional features include automatic film loading, advance, and rewind, a clear real-image viewfinder, and a weather-resistant body, making the Mju I a technically refined point-and-shoot camera focused on simplicity, reliability, and optical consistency.

It is worth purchasing a Protection Plan on an unfamiliar item
Bought a 3-year protection plan for a nut milk maker machine for $5.99. It was a fairly new kitchen item in our household and we were not familiar with the brand. So, I bought the plan for a piece (peace) of mind. The machine worked nicely for about 18-20 months with daily use until it tripped the circuit outlet.
My initial chat with Asurion did not go as I expected due to discrepancy on their end as they see a protection plan for the nut milk maker as a sporting goods valued between $100-$199, not as a kitchen item valued between $30-$39.99. ( I had bought 3 different protection plan on th same day for multiple items purchased on Prime Days). They were looking at a different plan and I was unable to get them to "scroll over" to the appropriate protection plan.
I tried again on a different day during the first hour of their contact hours and had a cheerful Asurion agent who was able to find the appropriate kitchen item protection plan. It was a simple and thorough conversation and transaction. I was refunded within hours after I packed up and dropped off the damaged item out to UPS.
Moral of the story: Asurion Protection Plan is worth it and contact them at the start of their first day shift, not at the end of their evening shift.

No hassle refund
So glad I bought the plan. After 2.5 years of everyday use of my toaster, it quit working. Contacted Asurion, they emailed a shipping label. A few hours after I dropped the package off at UPS, I had the refund in my Amazon account. Very easy, no hassles.
