Steffi and Virginia return with Work A Change, an eight-track double-EP on Ostgut Ton inviting you into new dimensions of the sonic world they have crafted together over a number of years. Since their iconic 2011 collaboration "Yours" - which became an instant classic - the duo has experimented with new ways to express their unique strand of dancefloor melancholy. Unlike the grand maximalism often associated with vocals in dance music, Steffi and Virginia's creations use the voice less as a centerpiece and more an integral part of the groove itself, subtle in temperament and equal to it's counterparts. Impassioned vocals spiral around melodic leads and warm harmonies, offering a gentle kind of catharsis that deepens with each listen. Work A Change immediately transports you to a parallel aural universe, refusing to settle into one style and merging multiple references into peculiar new formats. Opening track "Be True To Me" is subdued but inviting, working it's way into the conscious with harmonic glitches and a deep, grooving bass lead. "Sight From Above" then slows things down for an angular cut of low-slung machine funk. The B-side, "Help Me Understand" lands you on another planet entirely, complete with extraterrestrial synths and animated robotics. Opening up the C-side, "Until You're Begging" is a molecular construction of fragmented motifs, both precise and hazy at the same time. Similarly, "Internal Bleeding" takes segments of percussive grooves and rearranges them into complex polyrhythms whilst retaining a careful sense of balance. Closing off the release is title track "Work A Change"; one last high-speed voyage into spiraling drums and hammer drill bass. Work A Change expands on Steffi and Virginia's aesthetic, merging elements from a number of genres into a cerebral, highly personal release. It also signals a change of direction for the duo's work, voyaging through new terrain while retaining a sound that is undoubtedly their own.

In Love With These Interconnected Series

I am in love with these interconnected series!!!! I love getting sneak peeks at the girls we haven’t met yet and seeing the girls we know and love interact with each other. I also really enjoy the concept of how all of the sectors are set up and the way that the academy is run. Alexandra’s situation is especially unique as she has lived her whole life thinking that she is human while wishing that she wasn’t. She has created her own monsters to protect her from the monsters in her real life, but all of the sudden her monsters are real!!! I love how different this is from other stories that I have read, not a lot of characters will living beings with their own memories and thoughts into existence. I am also super excited to see how the ending translates into the next book and if there will be any ties to Greek mythology included.

Totally Sweet

Well written, emotional omegaverse about a single mom of 2 with an ex-Alpha boyfriend that found his Omega and ditched his family. Cammie has a meet cute with Reid and Finton separately but they both find her to be their scent match.
This book is totally sweet with lots of drama but lots of proving to Cammie that she is loved and wanted.
My Personal Ratings:
5 Stars: Loved it! Couldn’t put it down or obsessed about it while needing to get to the end of it. Had to share some bits with my hubby!! Usually read in less than 2 days cause a girl has got to sleep sometime. Will be reading everything this author has to offer and most likely reread the series as next books in the series are released.
4 Stars: Really Good. Whether the story drew me in or a specific character, will definitely continue the series and look into more books by this author.
3 Stars: Enjoyed something about the book, whether it be the storyline or a character but also may have not liked something. Sometimes the book is great but needs some TLC from an editor. May or may not continue the series.

Read it!!! It's so good!

I will reccomend this book to anyone and everyone who is looking for an omegaverse book to read! The rabbit hole of male omega books this one sent my mood reading self down was crazy! 🤭 I could not have loved Finn more! He was the sweetest omega, making sure Cammie was comfortable each step of building a relationship with him and Reid. He was so good with the kids even though Ben was a little rough around the edges.
Cammie's fears were all justified but the way she learned to trust her new pack was sweet! They just continued to show up and her sister was hilarious! Being a mom and thinking of her littles but also finding her own happiness was such a sweet journey for her 💖 lets just talk about the kids for a second and say Em is a spitfire and I LOVE her and Ben sweet Ben just wants to protect his Mama but needs love, Reid does such a good job stepping up!
And the 'gift' at the end had me in tears!! 🥹 Without giving too much away that is why I think sweet Finn is my favorite of all male omegas I have ever read! His way with words no matter what he is using them for, declarations of love, pep talks, or advice he really just knows what needs to be said 💖

I wanted to like this more than I did

This started off so well! I thought it was going to take Lola on a run for her money but it ended up getting weird. I liked the writing but there was just too much spice which I didn't think was possible for me. There were too many times that the writing felt weird or the situations too outlandish and unrealistic. I had to skim through a lot of the later half. It might just be the dynamic between the characters that didn't work for me so I'll give this author another go.
