The Libec CA-7H is a dedicated integration hardware kit engineered to adapt the Libec SVF-7Pro 7" Full HD Studio Viewfinder directly onto Hitachi system and studio cameras. Because broadcast viewfinders require proprietary physical mounting brackets and brand-specific multi-channel signal routing, this integration package acts as the precise electronic and structural bridge needed to convert a portable Hitachi field camera into a full-scale studio pedestal configuration.

Core Features & Practical Utility

  • Direct 20-Pin Hirose Interfacing: The included viewfinder cable features a high-density 20-pin Hirose connector wired to match Hitachi's specific pinouts. This single line pipes the camera's HD component video return signals, comprehensive menu overlays, power, and tally commands directly to the SVF-7Pro monitor chassis without latency.

  • Hitachi-Specific Heavy Duty Shoe Mount: The kit includes a machined mechanical shoe attachment designed specifically to slide cleanly into the proprietary top viewfinder tracks found on Hitachi broadcast camera bodies. It creates a completely rigid, wobble-free anchor point capable of handling the monitor's 2.65-pound (1.2 kg) weight during rapid pedestal pans.

  • Integrated Studio Systemization: By marrying the camera body to the SVF-7Pro monitor via the CA-7H, it enables proper operation of the viewfinder's front and rear tally indicators (Red and Green), allowing both the studio talent and the operator to know precisely when that camera build is live on-air.

The Studio Viewfinder Compatibility Matrix:

If you deploy a mixed-camera studio floor utilizing camera heads from different manufacturers alongside your Hitachi systems, note that the internal pin layouts and shoe mount widths change. Libec splits these system kits into three distinct variants:

  • Libec CA-7H: Tailored exclusively for Hitachi System Cameras.

  • Libec CA-7S: Tailored exclusively for Sony System Cameras.

  • Libec CA-7I: Tailored exclusively for Ikegami System Cameras.

Operational System Tips for the CA-7H:

💡 The Alignment Lock Check: When sliding the CA-7H shoe attachment into the Hitachi camera mount track, push it completely forward until the integrated physical guide pins click into place. Always tighten down the main mechanical wing-bolt knob before mounting the SVF-7Pro monitor. If you mount the heavy 7-inch monitor onto a loose shoe, the lever action can twist and warp the camera's native top plate tracks during rapid studio shifts.

  • Hirose Cable Break-Down Routine: When breaking down your broadcast configuration after a show, do not tug on the flexible rubber middle section of the 20-pin Hirose cable to disengage it. The connector relies on an outer sliding collar lock. Grasp the knurled metal barrel directly and pull it straight back; the internal lock will release effortlessly, preventing bent pin needles inside the lens housing.

Great watch, wristband wears out after a while. Uses a Skmei 1251 band.
Watch is reliable, doesn't drift in time too much, very efficient on battery, has gotten complimented on the look a few times and has a nice user interface. It's also great to be able to see the date without pressing any buttons. The band has fatigued and snapped after many months of putting on and taking off the watch, but If you'd like to find a replacement band, search for Skmei 1251 wristbands.

Inexpensive sports watch that was easy to set up and works well.
I have had this watch for a few days. The included instructions were very basic, but I figured out how to set everything up pretty easily. The watch band is pretty adjustable, fits my fairly wide wrists very well. For the price, about half the cost of the name brand very similar watch it replaced, the watch works well, I am very pleased.

This is a great watch for the price!
I purchased this watch to use mostly down at my cabin. It is well-made, the functions are easy to use, and it has withstood all the abuse I’ve put it through. I wear this while hunting, cutting firewood, riding ATVs, and just running around the timber. If I destroy this watch in six months, it will be well worth the money I paid for it, but I don’t think that’s going happen. It’s stylish enough to wear to the office and just going out. If you’re looking for an every day watch, you’re not worried about destroying, this is the one to get.

Excellent Time Keeper // Terrible Wristband !
The watch itself is fantastic. When I first got it, and set it up, I set it to the time on my computer, which is as accurate as you can get. In the beginning I checked the time accuracy daily. After a few weeks my time checks changed to once, or twice a week. I never had to change the watch's time. The seconds would vary a little, in comparison to the computer clock. But, it never got more than 30 seconds either side of the computer clock. However, the watchband is a big time NO-GO! The buckle, where you connect it on your wrist, can be frustrating most of the time when you are trying to put it on. Once you've got it on, the strap that goes beyond the buckle is held down by a sliding keeper, that slides in and out depending on what you're doing. Terrible design! I wanted to buy a "Twist-a-Flex" wristband, but couldn't find one that matched the unusual design where the straps attach to the watch body. I bought the watch 4 months ago. Today, one of the 4 pins, that connect the straps to the watch body, fell out somewhere, making the watch impossible to wear. Excellent price. Excellent timepiece. Worst design for a wristband that I've ever seen.

Excellent for price, you won't be sorry
If you are looking for a watch with a lot of features that doesn't cost a lot, this is your watch. I tear up watches fairly easily in my line of work and after I killed my Seiko I decided I would hunt out a cheap watch. There aren't a lot of watches at this price range that include a stopwatch, date (with day of the week), AND has a light that is bright enough to actually read the time in the dark. This one does. The watch not dainty; it is big and bulky, bigger than I thought it would be, but not unwieldy and not super heavy. Expect it to be big. This also helps with readability (My son can read the time on this watch from the other side of the couch). The band feels rugged, made of a pliable and soft- feeling rubber and has a two- pronged belt- like closure (think 'biker belt') that keeps it secure on the wrist. Additionally, the holes for the band goes the entire length of the band so it is adjustable for really small wrists up to about 9.25" circumference. Others have complained about how easily the face scratches, but I suspect they've failed to remove the protective coating on the lens. It's a protective film that you have to get your fingernail under to pull off. Once that's off, the lens is crystal clear and fairly tough. I've had mine for a week now and used it under some fairly harsh conditions and the lens is still clear and scratch-free. My only complaint seems petty for a watch at this price point, but the strap-end hold down 'belt'--- the loop that holds down the extra length of the strap when it's buckled--- moves easily and so in use it will occasionally come off and you have to retuck the end back into it. But seriously, this is really minor. If you need an inexpensive digital that's easy to read in both daylight and darkness, ya don't mind a large and bulky, rugged- looking watch, and don't want to spend an arm and a leg, get this one. You likely won't be sorry.
