For most mortal men, Broadway would always be shrouded in its own mystique of glamour, pomp, endless parade of famous men and women, and the hidden, always larger-than-life aura of glittering public personalities whose daily activities no one has hardly a clue. Men of Notes is an attempt to give flesh and blood to some of those almost ephemeral individualscomposers, lyricists, orchestra conductors, working musicians, orchestrators, music publishers, etc.

The attempt in Men of Notes is actually undertaken by one of those people described above. Don Walker, famous for the orchestrations of over 100 Broadway Productions. This memoir of his early years in music was meant to be followed by a second book which would have included Music Man, Damn Yankees, Pajama Game, Cabaret and Fiddler on the Roof to name a few. But he died too soon in 1989, however the publication has fallen into the hands of his daughter, Ann Liebgold.

From the outset, readers would feast in the writing style of the authorhis lively take on the people he wanted to talk about and the wit and humor he effortlessly delivers, just the type that would give people some inkling how perhaps some brains do work in that often forbidding world.

About the Author

Don Walker was a native of Lambertville, New Jersey. A professional orchestrator, composer, and conductor, Don enjoyed a brilliant reputation in Broadway. He attended Ryder College in New Jersey and Wharton at University of Pennsylvania Don died in 1989 at the age of 81, leaving behind his wife, Audrey, with whom he had a daughter, Ann Liebgold, and son, David.

Dont wait! Assemble right away! Just in case you need to return it.
Color: Black, Size: 22" - 4 Panel
Ok, I like the idea of this but the assembly is frustrating. One side lined up perfectly with the holes however, the small bars that connect the screen to base is not lining up. I think it's do the fabric the screen or divider is made of. It's not stretchy. I brought this months ago and just opened it today. I'm upset and don't even think returning it is possible. If the material was a bit longer or stretchy to give a little room to work with this divider would be great. However, I'm not sure what I can use it for since I'm unable to attach it to the bottom. Beware! Don't wait like me. Tip for the manufacturer. Next time invest in Velcro dividers so the fabric can be adjusted with ease. Literally if I take the screen off the frame aligns perfectly. However, it defeats its purpose of privacy. I might buy some material myself and create a more flexible divider. Or I'll buy Velcro myself and attach to the bottom. I don't know yet.

Sturdy, Easy to Use, and Great for Privacy
Color: Black, Size: 88" W, Color: Black, Size: 88" W
This room divider is exactly what I needed! The metal frame feels very sturdy and stable, and the wider bases keep it from tipping over easily. The fabric provides great privacy and blocks light much better than expected. I also love how lightweight and foldable it is, making it easy to move around or store when not in use. Assembly was simple and only took a short time with the included instructions. Overall, it looks great, feels high quality, and works perfectly for creating a private space at home. Highly recommend!

Not bad
Color: Grey, Size: 88" W
Claims to be non see through but you can, easy to assemble but instructions aren't good. Decent money value, quality is okay. Good fit, not very sturdy.

I just set this up and it instantly transformed the space. It’s lightweight but stands securely, and the fabric panels look clean and modern. Super easy to fold and move around—perfect for creating privacy in a bedroom or home office without any permanent changes
