A timely and important search for architecture's missing women
For a century and a half, women have been proving their passion and talent for building and, in recent decades, their enrollment in architecture schools has soared. Yet the number of women working as architects remains stubbornly low, and the higher one looks in the profession, the scarcer women become. Law and medicine, two equally demanding and traditionally male professions, have been much more successful in retaining and integrating women. So why do women still struggle to keep a toehold in architecture? Where Are the Women Architects? tells the story of women's stagnating numbers in a profession that remains a male citadel, and explores how a new generation of activists is fighting back, grabbing headlines, and building coalitions that promise to bring about change. Despina Stratigakos's provocative examination of the past, current, and potential future roles of women in the profession begins with the backstory, revealing how the field has dodged the question of women's absence since the nineteenth century. It then turns to the status of women in architecture today, and the serious, entrenched hurdles they face. But the story isn't without hope, and the book documents the rise of new advocates who are challenging the profession's boys' club, from its male-dominated elite prizes to the erasure of women architects from Wikipedia. These advocates include Stratigakos herself and here she also tells the story of her involvement in the controversial creation of Architect Barbie. Accessible, frank, and lively, Where Are the Women Architects? will be a revelation for readers far beyond the world of architecture.-- "Books in Brief"Binding Type: Paperback

Quality booties that don’t fall off
Size: 0-3 Months Infant, Color: Ivory Sherpa, Size: 0-3 Months Infant, Color: Ivory Sherpa
Love these booties - super cute, quality made, and they don’t fall off even when we’re passing the baby around. We put these on without socks; the booties are not lined with fleece but has a firm sole. I got the 0-3 months size for my 3 month old and there’s still a little bit of room to grow. Easy to put on baby’s wiggling feet and there are two snap buttons to select for fit. There’s really no grip on these so not sure how they hold up for walking. The fleece is plush and seems to keep baby’s feet warm.

Size: 6-12 Months Infant, Color: Ivory Sherpa, Size: 6-12 Months Infant, Color: Ivory Sherpa
In the winter/fall months these were our go to shoes for our daughter! They were comfortable for her and kept her feet warm. Easy to put on and take off and so cute!! We’ve washed them quite a few times and they hold up really well.

Cute and stay on wiggly baby!
Size: 0-3 Months Infant, Color: Ivory Sherpa
Love these boots because they are so cute and stay on my wiggly baby's feet because of the snap that holds them in place. I also like how there are two different snaps to choose from depending on how thick your baby's feet are.

Cozy Robeez
Robeez have always been my go-to baby shoe. They are good quality and a good fit with room to grow. I never go by the month sizing since it really varies for each child. These cozy booties are nice and soft with the same fit as the standard robeez soft sole shoes. These are adjustable with two snaps options to make them tighter or looser.

Prefer over socks!
Size: 12-18 Months Toddler, Color: Pink Sherpa
These are a great option for babies and toddlers that won’t keep their socks on! We wear these all the time- my little girl even takes naps in them sometimes. They are soft and washable and I love that they have the grippies on the bottom now that she’s walking. She doesn’t slip in them even when walking like she does in some socks.
