In this knowledge packed book, cosmetics expert and makeup artist Rebecca Grantham shares industry secrets about how perfumes, makeup and cosmetics are made.

Beginning with the history of cosmetics, we're taken through a journey to knowing just what ingredients and know-how go into making the bottles of perfume and makeup applications used every day. We see how the global multi-billion dollar cosmetics industry uses a selection of techniques, methods and solutions that add up to the unmistakable aromas and distinctive applications people across the entire world know about.

Readers can learn about these methods and understand how makeup powders, skin creams, aromatic oils, and delectable scents are made. Grantham includes chapters on hair dyes and dental applications such as specialty mouthwashes. She is careful to differentiate between all-natural, organic substances and those which are artificial in origin; this book contains lists of the ingredients, explaining cosmetic uses and aromatic essences.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.

Good for my collection.
Format: Hardcover
This was another quick and entertaining read. This instalment wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other books but it was still good. I'm glad to have it in my collection.

I would put this book in my top ten favorites. It has great imagery, deep themes, and I'm still thinking about it years after reading it for the first time. I'm overdue for a re-read!

Staying is the making. The real making.
Format: Paperback
The tyrant owns form, doesn’t he? This is a book for anyone who might be no one, or anyone who is worried, or anyone who has ever thought about women, epic poetry, or both.
