Recital present the first vinyl LP by composer/event-maker Charlie Morrow. Toot! Too culls performance recordings from 1970 to 2014. It focuses on his "Wave Music" series, which are compositions based around swarms of like-instruments; i.e. sixty clarinets, conch choruses, and army of drums and bugle horns, etc. The 1978 piece, "100 Musicians With Lights", was performed at dusk in Central Park. One hundred players (brass, reeds, percussion) congregate and march in spiral formations, playing their instrument with penlights attached to them. The piece dissipates and ends as each player marches through the park to their respective homes. The sound is fascinating; a tape recording made by an audience member swirling and dancing through the performance. Charlie is an organizer: one of instruments, with the pieces that landed on this LP and dozens more; one of events, through decades of public solstice celebrations across the world; one of publications, including New Wilderness Audiographics and EAR Magazine; and, one of friendships as Charlie has kindly introduced me to many fascinating players in this quirky game of ours. He views networking as an art form, always connecting friends with other friends, building a larger web for everyone to dance throughout. Label owner Sean McCann on the release: "In working on this LP over the past years, Charlie Morrow and I have become close. It has been a joy to have him in my life. At the age of 73, he is determined and creative and as positive as ever. Each time we speak, new projects arise - like a mysterious soup boiling up fresh aromas. One of my favorite memories with Charlie was us staying up 'til the wee small hours of the morning drinking a bottle of sweet potato shochu, me listening to him tell funny and poignant remembrances. I am happy to share these lovely recordings, just a pinky toe in his artistic footprint, but wow, such a gorgeous toe!" excellent medium consistency pillow

Pillow is medium firmness with extremely uniform compression consistency. i have a very particular desire for something not too hard or too soft and this is the sweet spot... more stuffing is provided so you can add (or remove) some if needed to get what you like...i didnt need to but liked to have that option. also the feel of the cover is nice.

I’m 50 and peri has been kicking my butt lately, so temperature management of my head (as that is the only thing effected by my hot flashes) has been an ever pressing project that I’ve been managing for the last 3-4 years. Hot sleeping has always been one of my curses, so adding perimenopause to the mix has been my own special hell. But Dyson fans, keeping the bedroom window cracked, and lots of all cotton gauze blankets have been imperative for me in the night. Pillows have always been pillowing, they just get warm and flipping them all night long is just finding the least hot version. I even keep 2 pillow choices on the bed while I sleep, and 2 more an arm’s length away on the chest at the bottom of the bed. Silk pillowcases are great for my hair and skin but they don’t keep cool. THESE PILLOWS, complete with the Beckham cooling pillowcases are chef's kiss. They feel like they’ve been in the fridge. Literally. Now do they stay that way, of course not. But they’re cool enough for me to fall asleep. And if I wake, I use the other side. And if I keep another on standby, I am literally finding the cool side of the pillow all night long. I’m not exaggerating either. These pillows are cool WITH the cooling pillowcases. You can’t use a pillow protector though, even if it’s cotton. It will ruin the effect. And you must use the cooling pillowcases. Do both, and you won’t be disappointed.

Terrible update to a good pillow

Purchased this as I was looking to replace tbe previous Beckham hotel pillows I had purchased before. When I saw "newer model available" I ordered it. Wish I had just ordered the same ones as before. First off this was only 1 pillow, not the 2 pack. Since I was only replacing 1 pillow I decided to use it. Huge mistake, my neck has been sore almost everyday. The support of this pillow is terrible, even with trying to added and remove some fill to adjust it. Nothing seems to make a difference. Avoid it and order a different model. Wish I had sent it back for a refund when I got it.

I’ve been using this pillow for 3 months now. It is, hands down, the BEST pillow I’ve ever had. It’s soft and supportive at the same time. As I noted, I’ve been using it for 3 months and it has maintained its loft unlike some of the other types of pillow I’ve tried. Well worth the price and I highly recommend it.
