The Shape Creation Using Layouts, Programs, & Technology (SCULPT) presents original research at the intersection of theory and practice in shape modeling, fabrication, construction, manufacturing, sculpting, and architecture. SCULPT is the forerunner of Fabrication and Sculpting Event (FASE) in SMI. Like its predecessor, SCULPT focuses on the practical problems of generating physical shapes and specifically addresses the interplay of theory and practice. SCULPT invites practitioners who have inspiring ideas to contribute their work concerned with techniques to design and physically realize the shapes. The presented work should have clear algorithmic or mathematical bases. We are also interested in inverse process to obtain a clean CAD model from given physical artifacts.
