Get started in the world of competitive Pokémon Video Game play at League Challenge tournaments. These events are small, entry-level events on a local scale.

In Pokémon Video Game League Challenge tournaments, players can earn Championship Points and work toward earning an invitation to the World Championships!

We encourage purchase instore or online to ensure you secure your spot on the day as our store is not big enough to accommodate everyone. You are welcome to turn up and register on the day however spots may be full. 

ALL DIVISIONS

If you arrive after the start time for your respective division you will receive a round 1 loss. 

Format: Video Game - Regulation Set J: 1 Sep 2025–4 Jan 2026- BO3, 50 minute rounds

Price: $10-$25

Prizing: Everyone who pays the full entry of $25 receive a minimum of 2 Booster Packs and promo packs. Extra Prizing for top players dependent on player turn out. Those that pay $10 I’ll only receive promo pack.

Requirements: Please bring your Player ID and Team Sheets in physical form, THIS IS A MUST. 

Battle rules: general set of rules that apply to all battles. These are what define “VGC”, such as all matches being Double Battles played with a game time of 20 minutes.

Team rules: general set of rules that apply to all teams. These provide the base framework to what is allowed in “VGC”, such as all Pokémon being auto-leveled to level 50, or the Species and Item Clauses (you may not use the same Pokémon or Items, respectively, more than once on your team).

Rulesets or Regulation Sets: specific set of rules that apply on top of the previous two. These refer to specific Pokémon, moves or items that are allowed or banned, and change during the season.

Event Cancellation Policy

At Raptor Games, we understand that sometimes unexpected circumstances arise. To ensure fairness and allow us to plan effectively, we have the following cancellation policy in place for our events:

Cancellation Notice:

If you are unable to attend, you must notify us in writing (via email or message) at least 24 hours prior to the event start time.

Refunds:

Cancellations received at least 24 hours prior to the event will be eligible for a full refund.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 24 hours before the event, or for no-shows.

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
