Supercar was the second Gerry Anderson show to use the Supermarionation technique. An impressive thirty-nine episodes were produced between 1961 and 1962, so Barry Gray had to produce the music fast and on a limited budget. He composed a series of themes for locations, situations and characters. The main star of the show, Supercar, is given the heroic theme, whilst the rest of the score veers between charmingly whimsical to support the dialogue and menacing when underlining the drama. The forty-piece orchestra was conducted by Gray himself.Barry Gray was amongst the first composers to use electronic instruments in music for television. One such instrument was the Ondes Martenot, used to produce otherworldly musical motifs and fragments and later to create sound effects for Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.

WARNING - EXTREMELY SHARP AREAS

UPDATE: The 2nd one I ordered was exactly the same with the sharp parts in the same areas as the first one. I cannot stress enough that a few points are sharp enough to cut or badly scratch. So if you’re planning on putting some food on it so your pup can lick, this is not the product you want! This could still scratch or cut the gums if used as a chew toy too though. I was thinking about sanding the sharp points but then I have no idea if that exposes any chemicals somehow? Really wanted this to work out!
I took this corn on the cob toy out of the plastic to wash it and before I even got to the sink I realized there were several areas that are super sharp. A few sharp enough that could cut or badly scratch! It was sealed in a plastic bag and shows no signs of being used so this defect must happen at the manufactures level. I added a video showing how easily it snags a cotton ball, cotton pad and even a beanie. Please thoroughly check your item before giving it to your pup! I was so excited to put some smashed banana on this thing and give it to my guy and thank god I checked it first! I’m going to return it and see if a 2nd one is any better and I’ll update if it is or isn’t. Also, the super sharp spots were very hard to photograph which is why I added the video.

This thing is great for hi anxiety dogs and dogs that ned to have something to do or to chew. It will take them a while to get through to it. I was told that it was indestructible but I knew if there was a dog that could do it, it would be mine, and she did. But it took her some time. But she loves it and it keeps her busy.

Cute and durable!

My dog absolutely loves this toy! I'm not sure why people are complaining it's too hard, it's a nylon dog chew toy, it's supposed to be hard. I love the little holes in the lattice top I can stuff with treats. It keeps my very (VERY) active dog busy for a long time. I would definitely recommend this if you have a power chewer. It's also super cute, I just love to see him tote around a piece of pie.
