One of the Best Books of the YearThe San Francisco Chronicle * The Philadelphia Inquirer * Vox * The Globe and Mail (Toronto) From Tim Wu, author of the award-winning The Master Switch ( a New Yorker and Fortune Book of the Year) and who coined the term "net neutrality"--a revelatory, ambitious and urgent account of how the capture and re-sale of human attention became the defining industry of our time.
Ours is often called an information economy, but at a moment when access to information is virtually unlimited, our attention has become the ultimate commodity. In nearly every moment of our waking lives, we face a barrage of efforts to harvest our attention.
This condition is not simply the byproduct of recent technological innovations but the result of more than a century's growth and expansion in the industries that feed on human attention. Wu's narrative begins in the nineteenth century, when Benjamin Day discovered he could get rich selling newspapers for a penny. Since then, every new medium--from radio to television to Internet companies such as Google and Facebook--has attained commercial viability and immense riches by turning itself into an advertising platform. Since the early days, the basic business model of "attention merchants" has never changed: free diversion in exchange for a moment of your time, sold in turn to the highest-bidding advertiser. Full of lively, unexpected storytelling and piercing insight, The Attention Merchants lays bare the true nature of a ubiquitous reality we can no longer afford to accept at face value.

Fit fail
Color: Red, Size: Large
I don't like to give bad reviews but I will at least give an honest review. I purchased this shirt in red and was pleased with the color once I received it. My problem was, that when I tried the shirt on, the fit was good but the collar noticably too big for the shirt size. Looked like something from the '70's. I returned the shirt.

Solid shirt for the price — looks sharp and fits great
Color: Light Grey, Size: 3X-Large
I picked up this COOFANDY long sleeve shirt for work and casual wear, and overall I’m really happy with it. The fit is true to size and it’s not too tight or too loose — just a clean, regular fit that looks good on its own or tucked in. The material feels comfortable and not overly stiff, which is nice since I wear it all day. It has a crisp look but still feels soft enough to wear without feeling like you’re in a dress shirt all day.
The stitching and buttons seem strong, and the shirt holds up well after washing without shrinking or losing shape. I also like that it’s easy to iron (or even just hang up right after drying) and it still looks presentable. The collar stays in place and the overall style is simple and classic, so it works for interviews, work, or even going out.
For the price, this shirt is a great value. It looks more expensive than it is, and I’d definitely buy another color. If you’re looking for a reliable everyday dress shirt that fits well and looks clean, this is a solid option.

Absolutely fantastic value. Quality shirt....love the texture however, when ordering, size up. I normally take a large however, the XL was a perfect fit.

Nice shirts! Fit perfectly!
Color: Dark Green, Size: Large
REALLY nice shirts! Bought dark green and black for my 23 year old son before he left for his six month cruise job to East Asia and they look to not wrinkle at all, plus they fit perfectly and look great! He's 5' 10" and about 170 lbs and wears a large. It fits a little loose, but he likes it that way. I would highly recommend these shirts!

Color is off, but still a nice shirt.
Color: Brown, Size: X-Large, Color: Brown, Size: X-Large
The shirt is great as far as quality. Material is very nice. Hubby wears an XL, and I bought the XL and it fit him perfectly. He is 5'11" and weighs 210lbs.
The reason I gave a 4 star, and not a 5 star is because I ordered the brown color. When you look at the brown option on the color option, you will see from my pictures posted that I did not receive a brown shirt. What I received was more like a rust color or a copper color. I kept it because I actually liked it. But Amazon needs to do better with their color descriptions. If you're looking for a genuine brown color, this is not the shirt for you.
