The BART has been designed to dislodge clear aligners with ease, comfort and protection of essential attachments which are critical to the success of treatment. BART is superior to previous generation removal appliances in that it :

The Munchies® Aligner Brush has been meticulously designed to deliver optimal cleansing and thorough debridement for orthodontic aligners and retainers.

The dual headed device features an array of longer silicone filaments in the macro head, in tandem with the micro head where shorter, graduated filaments are housed.

The macro head is deigned to fit comfortably into the fitting surface of the posterior section of the aligner and to remove larger food debris when employed in a scrubbing motion from front to back.

The appliance is then rinsed in water and the micro head is placed into the fitting surface of the front teeth. The brush is moved all over the front teeth and into any wells where plaque or smaller debris may be lodged.

The aligner or retainer is then rinsed carefully under running water and the Aligner Brush similarly cleansed. To verify that all bacteria have been removed from the aligner, we recommend the use of Reveal 270 bacterial swabs and the Steralign UV sterilisation case.

The Munchies® Sample Pack contains a sample of 2 Munchies® from our different ranges. The yellow device is from the Munchies® Firm range and the larger green device is from the Munchies® Maxx range.

The Munchies® Maxx is a larger and more robust device and is suited for more aggressive chewing and deeper bite cases. We recommend patients to try all Munchies® by purchasing the Starter Pack and to see which devices provide best pain relief and optimal seating of aligners.

The latest superb iteration of the acclaimed Munchies® range, have now been designed to optimize the seating of aligners in the premolar region in particular, where expansion is often programmed.

Designed and engineered by the Orthodontic Faculty at the Postgraduate School of Dentistry, this device utilizes the same principle as the original Munchies® but also focuses on the posterior teeth, whereby optimization of seating and fit ensures that pre-programmed forces built in to the aligners are delivered accurately.

Munchies® Maintain devices have been designed to optimize the seating of clear retainers after your patients have completed orthodontic treatment. Optimal fitting of clear retainers not only maintains the post-treatment goals but also aids in providing remediation of minor relapse.

As clear retainers are generally 30% thicker and more rigid than aligners, intimate seating of the retainers can be more challenging. Munchies® Maintain are larger and more robust than regular Munchies® and are specifically designed to provide adequate force systems to move clear retainers.

If your patients use Munchies® every time they reinsert their aligners, the predictability of tooth movement increases significantly. The Munchies® Aligner Changeover Pack has been designed to give to patients at each aligner changeover visit at your surgery.

At each aligner changeover visit a Munchies® Aligner Changeover Pack should be delivered with the patients’ next series of aligners, providing a hygienic and convenient delivery method.
