The book documents how acoustic effects--reverberation, room ambience, and echo--have been used in recordings since the 1920s to create virtual sonic architectures and landscapes. Author Peter Doyle traces the development of these acoustically-created worlds from the ancient Greek myth of Echo and Narcissus to the dramatic acoustic architectures of the medieval cathedral, the grand concert halls of the 19th century, and those created by the humble parlor phonograph of the early 20th century, and finally, the revolutionary age of rock 'n' roll. Citing recordings ranging from Gene Austin's 'My Blue Heaven' to Elvis Presley's 'Mystery Train, ' Doyle illustrates how non-musical sound constructs, with all their rich and contradictory baggage, became a central feature of recorded music. Get this for your teething pup ASAP!!!

Immediately calmed my Bichon Frise puppy who is going through a tough teething & nipping phase ... None of the other teething toys were really engaging him, so as a result he would get restless and start biting at air, lol. This worked immediately at keeping him occupied and content. It also freezes great for him to cool his gums after a nap. Get this teether, you will not regreat it!

Good for Teething puppies
Color: Teething Stick
After getting my fingers chewed and bitten by my new foster - 8 week old Yorkie , I was desperate to find good teething toys. Fortunately this one arrived quickly. Turned out to be very good for teething puppies! Charlie loves this cooling stick. Once it’s frozen, the cold really seems to soothe his sore gums. The icy part doesn’t stay frozen for long, but it works so well that I bought a second one to keep ready in the freezer while he’s working on the first.
Even after it warmed up, he still enjoyed chewing on the soft stuffed part and the tentacles. The product card says not to use it as a chew toy, so supervision is a must, but it held up just fine so far.
Overall, this has been a big help during the teething phase — short-lived when frozen, but very effective while it lasts! And worth every penny to save my fingers from being a chew toy.

Bright color and tough skin both great
Color: Regular-Orange, Size: 2.5"(Medium)-12 Pack
These tennis-style balls are, as promised, much tougher and thicker-skinned than an ordinary tennis ball, being made as a fetching ball for dogs. I bought them as foot covers for the legs of walkers used by the elderly, a very popular use. They work extremely well to protect rugs and flooring, and to make a quiet gliding cover, easier for seniors to move smoothly without snags. The usual tennis balls used for this purpose wear out pretty quickly, but this ball was made to be repeatedly fetched and gnawed on by your Rottweiler, so it's a big improvement. You will need a good cutting tool to score in the crosswise slits where you insert the walker leg; it's too tough for your household scissors, but that's just the point, right? It's tough.

Not great quality

My dog is 7 months old, about 35lbs as of this review. These balls barely lasted a month as they all kept breaking if thrown against anything or just bounced repetitively. The color is good so that you can see it better in the dark, but I would not say these balls are worth the price.
Update 2023-12: After posting my review the seller contacted me and provided me with two free sets of balls as an apology for the bad quality of the original set. So far these are holding much better with my dog and she loves to play fetch with them.
