Kopke Colheita Port 1976 In Wooden Gift Box

This exceptional colheita port originates from Portugal’s Douro Valley, crafted from a single harvest and aged in seasoned oak casks. Produced by one of the oldest port houses, this Colheita-style wine reflects decades of meticulous winemaking and ageing expertise.

The 1976 vintage was hand-picked, fermented in traditional lagares and fortified to preserve natural sweetness. After a minimum of seven years in oak, it was released only when deemed ready, revealing deep layers of complexity and elegance. Its vivid amber tone and intense aromatic profile reflect the influence of time and careful maturation. A true collector’s vintage for lovers of aged fortified wine.

  • Kopke Colheita Tawny Port 1976 offers layers of condensed milk, vanilla, coffee, and dried fruit with remarkable complexity
  • Vivid amber with golden hues, mellow aromatics and a smooth, velvety texture on the palate
  • Well-structured and unctuous, finishing long and balanced with rich notes of oak and warming spice
  • Fortified wine made from a single vintage & matured in oak barrels for over four decades
  • Produced in Portugal’s Douro Valley using traditional lagares for fermentation
  • Best served slightly between 12°C and 14°C

Pairs beautifully with rich, spiced desserts like crème brulee, tarte tatin or ginger-spiced apple cake. It also complements aged cheeses or nut-based pastries. Ideal for sipping slowly after dinner or with a dessert board, making it a luxurious gift for fortified wine lovers or those searching for the best vintage tawny port for special occasions.

Very Good - But Conclusion Derails
Format: Paperback
Gaventa wrote an intriguing introduction to the book of Romans. She begins by setting up what we can know about the setting, and likewise critiques some overreach in some other treatments. The chapters which traces significant themes of sin/salvation; righteousness; worship; community; and the Jewish problem throughout the book. The threads she knits together move past the simplistic, and are convincing. Where she loses me is in the conclusion. Her argument that "all" is necessarily universal as it stretches to salvation seems to ignore much of what Paul himself wrote in Romans. Yes, sin is universal. Salvation is universally available. But universal availability doesn't suggest universal application.
