"A lucid presentation of what progressive education can accomplish."--The New York Times

How should schools prepare students for the Information Age? The successful worker of the future - a creative, independent thinker who works well in teams--would seem to be too self-contradictory to be the deliberate product of a school.

A century ago, the American educator Caroline Pratt created an innovative school that she hoped would produce such independent thinkers, but she asked herself a different question: "Was it unreasonable to try to fit the school to the child, rather than . . . the child to the school?" A strong-willed, small-town schoolteacher who ran a one-room schoolhouse by the time she was seventeen, Pratt came to viscerally reject the teaching methods of her day, which often featured a long-winded teacher at the front of the room and rows of miserable children, on benches nailed to the floor, stretching to the back.

In this classic 1948 memoir, now in its fourth edition, Pratt recounts, in a wry authorial voice much closer to Will Rogers than John Dewey, how she founded what is now the dynamic City and Country School in New York City; invented the maple "unit blocks" that have become a staple in classrooms and children's homes around the globe; and came to play an important role in reimagining preschool and primary-school education in ways that resound in the tumultuously creative age before us. This edition features a new introduction by Ian Frazier, as well as additional commentary, and an afterword.

No Good
So I got this under the impression by the videos online that this was really concealing under the eye and it’s not…very oily and hasn’t done anything for under my eyes at all! Scam!

There is a reason why this went viral!
Set name: KOJIC
This works wonders. I went with a sand and stone deodorant, while it gets the job done,it makes my armpits dark. With this stuff, it takes care of my pits and keeps them looking nice. Also great for scratchy feet. Keeps them soft and healthy. Will be purchasing again!

Melaxin
Set name: KOJIC, Set name: KOJIC
I’ve been using the Melaxin Body Keratin Care Kojic Acid Turmeric treatment, and I’m honestly impressed with how it has improved my skin texture and tone. This product combines kojic acid and turmeric, which are known for helping brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots. It also contains keratin and other nourishing ingredients that leave my skin feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated. After a few uses, I noticed my skin looked more even and radiant, especially in areas like my arms and elbows. It gently exfoliates and helps remove dead skin without causing irritation, which is great for sensitive skin. The formula feels lightweight and easy to apply, and I love that it can target hard-to-reach areas depending on the format (spray or serum). Overall, this is a great body care product if you’re looking to brighten your skin, smooth texture, and get a healthy glow. Definitely worth trying!

Life saver for your skin
Set name: KOJIC
I was skeptical before buying this. my skin dries out so quickly and lotions is just a temporary fix for dry skin. I was amazed that the first time I used it all the dry skin was peeling off such a simple solution. I’ll never be without it now you have to try it to believe it.
