A wardrobe that blends into the bedroom is a missed opportunity. The Petal X solid mango wood two door wardrobe with X pattern cane webbing doors takes that wall space seriously and turns it into one of the most visually deliberate decisions in the room. Each door carries a solid wood X-shaped cross divider that sections the natural cane webbing into four distinct triangular panels, and a horizontal solid wood mid rail divides the pattern into an upper and lower repeat across the full height of both doors, creating six shaped cane webbing sections that read as a complete, rhythmic composition from top to bottom. When both doors are closed, the X pattern runs in perfect alignment across the door gap, which means the woodworking precision behind the Petal X mango wood cane wardrobe is as important as the design intent behind it. Two small round brass knob handles sit at the centre where the doors meet, adding a warm metallic accent that complements the honey finished mango wood and natural cane without introducing a jarring contrast. Four angled tapered solid wood legs lift this full height boho bedroom wardrobe into a mid century modern silhouette that keeps a 180 centimetre cabinet from sitting flat and heavy in the room. Built from 100% solid mango wood throughout in a honey finish that draws the natural grain forward, the Petal X two door cane webbing wardrobe measures L90 x W40 x H180 cm and delivers the full height bedroom storage most Indian homes need with a front face that earns its place in the room every single day.

Key Features:-

  • X Pattern Cane Webbing Design Across Both Full Height Doors: Each door on the Petal X solid mango wood wardrobe carries a solid wood X-shaped cross divider that creates four triangular cane webbing sections per half, with a solid horizontal mid rail dividing the pattern into an upper and lower repeat. Across both doors the X pattern aligns precisely at the door gap, making the front face of this boho wooden wardrobe read as one continuous geometric composition rather than two independent panels placed side by side. The precision required to achieve that alignment is what separates handcrafted cane wardrobe furniture from mass produced alternatives.
  • Natural Cane Webbing with Air Circulation Advantage: Every triangular cane section across the Petal X two door mango wood wardrobe is filled with natural hand woven cane webbing that brings handcrafted texture and organic warmth to the door surface. Natural cane is breathable by construction, which means air circulates freely within the wardrobe interior and reduces the moisture buildup and mustiness that fully sealed wooden wardrobe doors create over time. For Indian bedroom conditions across changing seasons, this makes the Petal X cane webbing wardrobe a more practical daily use choice than its appearance alone suggests.
  • 100% Solid Mango Wood with Honey Finish: Every structural element of the Petal X wooden wardrobe including the door frames, X cross dividers, mid rails, body panels, and tapered legs is built from genuine solid mango wood, a dense durable hardwood whose naturally varied grain gives each unit a subtly unique surface character. The honey finish enhances the warmth and depth of the mango wood without masking the grain, delivering a tone that works equally well in bohemian, mid century modern, and contemporary bedroom interiors.
  • Brass Knob Handles at the Centre Door Meeting Point: Two small round brass knob handles sit at the centre of the Petal X solid mango wood two door wardrobe exactly where both doors meet, positioned within the X pattern convergence zone for a placement that feels intentional rather than incidental. The warm brass tone sits in natural harmony with the honey finished mango wood and the natural cane webbing, maintaining the consistent warm material palette that runs across the entire Petal collection.
  • Angled Tapered Legs for a Mid Century Modern Profile: Four angled tapered solid wood legs elevate the Petal X boho cane wardrobe off the floor with a mid century modern silhouette that prevents a full height 180 centimetre cabinet from feeling visually heavy or spatially dominant in the bedroom. They are a considered structural detail that gives the wardrobe a lifted, furniture grade presence and keep the overall design looking intentional from every angle including at floor level.
  • Full Height Storage at L90 x W40 x H180 cm: The Petal X solid mango wood cane wardrobe delivers full height internal storage across a 90 centimetre wide, 180 centimetre tall footprint with a 40 centimetre depth that handles standard garment hanging comfortably. The solid mango wood construction ensures the internal structure holds its shape and carries daily use weight without warping, sagging, or losing structural integrity over time, making this boho wooden wardrobe a long term bedroom storage investment rather than a short term aesthetic one.

a great guide to DC treasures
Format: Flexibound
This is not a guide book in terms of giving you directions and hours of operation, but it would be a wonderful first step in planning a memorable trip to the nation's capitol. Nineteen themed trails are given, seven in and around the Mall, six nearby, two across the Potomac and two farther afield. Themes include animals (Rock Creek Park, National Zoo, the George Washington University hippo (statue), the National Museum of Natural History, Owney the stuffed dog at the National Postal Museum, Oxon Hill Farm, Kingman Island and the Franciscan Monastery and National Cathedral -- and a blurb about presidential pets), statuary, music, food, horticulture, power, sports, ghosts, architecture, literature, transportation etc. As you can tell these aren't walking tours. Instead each theme gets four pages filled with photos, drawings, fun facts and information about festivals, artifacts, history and spectacle. I try to get to WDC once or twice a year, yet I still found plenty of interesting ideas for further exploration. If you are planning a visit (with or without kids),this would be agreat way to help them choose a few things they'd like to see. Information is presented in a friendly way but is not dumbed down. There is an adequate, if incomplete, index. It would be useful to have a calendar of all the events listed too.

Great book of fun facts about nation’s capital!
Format: Flexibound
I take my 3 boys (3, 5, 7) to Washington DC each year. This is a wonderful book full of fun facts for our nation’s capital. If you are looking for a kid version of a travel book that maps you through neighborhoods, etc., this is not it, but what kid would like that kind of book? That’s what grown-ups are for - mapping out the trip. Rather, this is a great supplement to read at bedtime to learn all sorts of facts about the city - from the historical pets of the White House to the error in the inscription on the Abraham Lincoln memorial. Really - these are great facts for adults also! Each page is a separate set of topics on its own, so it’s easy to read just a few pages at a time. Also there are great illustrations to hold the younger audience’s interest as well. This is a great buy and a must-have to get kids ready for their trip, or to read during it, or after (or all three!).

Happy Wanderer

City Trails is not a guided walking tour (like the Freedom Trail here in Boston) of the Metro DC area. No addresses or street names are noted in the blurbs. To actually visit any of these places, you’ll have to consult a real map. For instance, the chapter “Statue City” highlights notable statuary around town. But the Capitol Building statues (in SE DC) are far from the Cathedral ones (in NW DC.) The themed groupings (G-G-G-Ghosts, Animals Around Town, Water World and more) are less maps to any place and more of an interesting overview of our Nation’s amazingly diverse and action-packed city. It’s best read as a primer on experiencing the flavor of the city (I lived and worked there.) It reads more along the lines of the “Weird But True” series made famous by National Geographic for Kids. I don’t see this being of value to tourists in town for a limited time whose sightseeing is going to include major attractions like government buildings (White House, Capitol), museums (Smithsonian), some monuments (Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington) and other popular sites (Ford’s Theater.) This guide is actually best suited for the Metro-area (WDC, MD and VA) resident – child or adult - who wants a deeper dive into their hometown’s off-the-beaten-path sights and stories. A well designed and written book of historical trivia.
