El Grande est enfin de retour ! Après près de 30 ans, il était temps de donner au jeu une refonte complète ! El Grande se déroule dans l'Espagne du XVe siècle, à la fin de la Reconquista. Les joueurs envoient leurs caballeros pour prendre le contrôle des 9 régions et devenir "El Grande". Cependant, tout dépend de l'emplacement du roi - et les majorités peuvent changer en un clin d'œil. Les joueurs jouent à tour de rôle en fonction de la carte de pouvoir qu'ils jouent. À chaque tour, les joueurs choisissent 1 des 5 cartes d'action, leur permettant de placer des caballeros sur la carte et d'effectuer une action spéciale. Après 3 tours, ils gagnent des points en fonction des majorités dans les différentes régions - et des points supplémentaires pour la majorité dans le royaume actuel et leur région d'origine. Après 9 tours au total, quelqu'un sera le nouveau souverain de l'Espagne médiévale.

Even my boyfriend keeps commenting how much he likes it. It's a usable piece of art! I will comment that the earring holes can be a little tricky since the leaves are turned all different ways. You have to be strategic with how you line up your long/dangle-y earrings with your studs so everybody fits and can be seen. A little tricky. But not a deal breaker - especially when it's so easy on the eye. The other slight negative is that this really isn't the best necklace holder. I would have thought, "No problem!" But it's a bit awkward. Especially if you actually intend to see all your earrings. You'll end up hanging most of your necklaces from the top most branch - but they slide down into the crevice to stay. Then you've got a lot of overlapping. And trickiness to retrieve the exact necklace you want with ease. However, this is still a fabulous earring tree. I can't say enough good things about it. Love the little basket for miscellaneous. Hair bands, lip gloss, etc.

I wasn't sure about purchasing the jewelry stand at first (I had my doubts), but those doubts quickly disappeared upon the arrival/unpackaging of the jewelry stand. It's still pretty, though, and holds a lot of jewelry. PRICE-WISE If you're looking at the price and it says $45 or more, don't buy it. I waited a month for the price to go down (I'm just a cheapskate) and it did. It went from $45 or so, down to $25 or so. So, unless its life or death, be patient and buy it when the price is right. OVERALL? In general, I was pleased with the product. It wasn't my dream jewelry stand, but it was worth my money and the wait.
