Design, implement, and deliver successful streaming applications, machine learning pipelines and graph applications using Spark SQL API About This Book Learn about the design and implementation of streaming applications, machine learning pipelines, deep learning, and large-scale graph processing applications using Spark SQL APIs and Scala. Learn data exploration, data munging, and how to process structured and semi-structured data using real-world datasets and gain hands-on exposure to the issues and challenges of working with noisy and "dirty" real-world data. Understand design considerations for scalability and performance in web-scale Spark application architectures. Who This Book Is For If you are a developer, engineer, or an architect and want to learn how to use Apache Spark in a web-scale project, then this is the book for you. It is assumed that you have prior knowledge of SQL querying. A basic programming knowledge with Scala, Java, R, or Python is all you need to get started with this book. What You Will Learn Familiarize yourself with Spark SQL programming, including working with DataFrame/Dataset API and SQL Perform a series of hands-on exercises with different types of data sources, including CSV, JSON, Avro, MySQL, and MongoDB Perform data quality checks, data visualization, and basic statistical analysis tasks Perform data munging tasks on publically available datasets Learn how to use Spark SQL and Apache Kafka to build streaming applications Learn key performance-tuning tips and tricks in Spark SQL applications Learn key architectural components and patterns in large-scale Spark SQL applications In Detail In the past year, Apache Spark has been increasingly adopted for the development of distributed applications. Spark SQL APIs provide an optimized interface that helps developers build such applications quickly and easily. However, designing web-scale production applications using Spark SQL APIs can be a complex task. Hence, understanding the design and implementation best practices before you start your project will help you avoid these problems. This book gives an insight into the engineering practices used to design and build real-world, Spark-based applications. The book's hands-on examples will give you the required confidence to work on any future projects you encounter in Spark SQL. It starts familiarizing you with data exploration and data munging tasks using Spark SQL and Scala. Extensive code examples will help you understand the methods used to implement typical use-cases for various types of applications. You will get a walkthrough of the key concepts and terms that are common to streaming, machine learning, and graph applications. You will also learn key performance-tuning details including Cost Based Optimization (Spark 2.2) in Spark SQL applications. Finally, you will move on to learning how such systems are architected and deployed for a successful delivery of your project. Style and approach This book is a hands-on guide to designing, building, and deploying Spark SQL-centric production applications at scale.Shipping Notes

Great little sprayer
Size: 1-Gallon
This thing works really well. My only complaint is that you can't really get a tight cone on the mist setting. I wanted to be a little more precise, but it still got the job done. I would recommend this more for lawn treatments over bug spray (which is what I used it for), just because of the wide dispersal cone (especially indoors). However, it still works just fine, and gives a lot of coverage in a short amount of time. It does shoot a very precise stream out, but it's way too much liquid at once in my opinion. If you're wanting precision, you'll need to look elsewhere. As for the value, it's well worth it.

Chapin 1-gallon sprayer
Size: 1-Gallon, Size: 1-Gallon
★★★★★ Versatile Little Sprayer That’s Great Around the House, Garden & Garage.
This Chapin 1-gallon sprayer has turned out to be one of the handiest tools I own. I originally bought it for spraying organic bug treatment and neem oil mixtures on my plants and garden, but I’ve ended up using it for several different things.
The pump builds pressure quickly and the spray pattern adjusts easily from a fine mist to a stronger stream depending on what you’re doing. It sprays evenly and feels much more controlled than some of the cheaper sprayers I’ve tried in the past.
One thing I like is keeping separate sprayers for different jobs. I use this one mainly for garden and plant care, while I keep another one strictly for bug spray and outdoor treatments so chemicals don’t get mixed together.
It’s also useful outside the garden. You could easily use this for automotive detailing too — things like liquid waxes, degreasers, wheel cleaners, or spray-on protectants. The wand and hose feel durable, and the tank itself feels sturdy without being too heavy to carry around.
Simple, reliable, easy to clean, and useful for way more than just gardening. Definitely worth having around the house or garage.

Works well. Easy to carry.
Size: 1-Gallon 2-Value Pack
My 2-gallon sprayer’s nozzle cracked — leading to Spectracide dribbles along my path through the yard…not good!
Since a replacement nozzle cost as much as a new sprayer, so began the search for a new unit. I admit that lugging a full 2-gal sprayer around the yard, although it required no refilling, became quite tiring and blister-inducing; I then began reading reviews for 1-gal …
Horror stories about bad seals, leaks, no pressure, etc. had me dismayed. However, since Amazon’s return policy is easy, I decided on this 2-pack of 1-gal Chapin 22000. If needing my usual 1.5-2 gallons of weed killer, I could always fill BOTH ahead of time and save myself some blisters and backache!
Never having used pressurized sprayers WITHOUT pressure relief valves, I was slightly hesitant to buy these, though…well, I guess I’ll just have to be extremely careful to not get the poisonous spray on myself when removing the pump! ☠️
Sprayers arrived in perfect, brand new condition; all parts/pieces were received. Assembly was super easy, even WITHOUT referring to instruction manual — used channel locks to tighten the hose, as pliers could not be located and hands are not very strong. Tested/practiced with water. Got a feel for how many pumps were necessary and adjusted the spray tip to my preference.
My last sprayer required opening the PRV and then squeezing sprayer to empty hose/release remaining pressure in order to be able to unscrew pump handle. The directions for THESE say to simply unscrew the handle a bit until you can hear the built-up pressure vent out. I did just that — no explosive spray to the face and the pump handle unscrewed easily. WHEW!
So, today was the sprayer’s maiden voyage around the yard.
I followed the directions to pump the handle until resistance is felt (maybe 8x?). WOW — so much easier to carry! Pressure is great — liquid shot out about 15’! Although the “feel” of the sprayer trigger is cheap and small (even for female hands), it was quite responsive and allowed for a steady stream with no leaks/dribbles.
Happy with this purchase and hope I can get at least a few years out of them. 🤞🏼
Also, after I’d placed my order, I just happened to be in WM’s lawn/garden section…
These are sold there, as well, for a higher price. They seem to be very popular, too, as nearly all were gone from the shelf.

Simple, Reliable Pump Sprayer with Easy Locking Trigger
Size: 1-Gallon
This pump sprayer is very straightforward to set up and gets ready for use quickly without any complicated assembly. The locking trigger is a standout feature since it allows continuous spraying without needing to constantly hold the handle down, which makes longer watering or treatment tasks much easier on the hand. The spray output feels consistent and controlled, and it works well for garden applications like fertilizer, herbicide, or general watering. The build quality feels solid enough for regular home and garden use, and the tank is easy to fill and pressurize without much effort. The handle and pump action feel smooth, and overall operation is simple and intuitive. Considering the ease of use, practical locking trigger, quick setup, and reliable performance, it offers good value for the money for everyday garden and yard maintenance tasks.
