Piuma is a soft roving made from pure merino wool. It’s fluffy and slightly fuzzy, yet compact in its structure.
Because it is a slightly twisted roving, it maintains all of the natural softness and lightness of wool while still being easy to use with knitting needles and crochet hook. What’s more, once this wool yarn is worked it tends to puff up even more and gets chunkier. Therefore, the pieces you make will not only be super warm and soft but totally cozy too.

The Piuma wool yarn you buy on thread cones is exactly the same as the Piuma in balls. However, at first glance, the yarn may appear to be of a different thickness (thinner). This is because, when wound on thread cones, the yarn is kept under tension and thus tends to become thinner. Start working with it, and you’ll notice that, as the tension is released and the yarn absorbs air, it will gradually regain its natural volume.

An extra tip: pure wool roving is hardly twisted if at all, therefore after the first few washes it can close up slightly (doesn’t get felted!).

Great Stuff!

Purchased for my husbands F-150 Truck , his engine was making a weird noise and he thought he was going to have to get a new engine but a friend recommended to change his oil and use this one. I normally don't buy such expensive engine oils (normally buy cheap diesel truck oils add in MoS2). However, this one was well worth the purchase. Engine feels substantially smoother and quieter. Car Runs Smooth, Less Friction, and Improved Performance at Start Up and Underload.

I kept hearing things about this oil from a few friends that work on cars and from my "go-to" mechanic. I was previously using Mobile 1 0w-20 on my 2024 4Runner and my wife's 2025 Outback Onyx, and this time around I decided to try it on both cars as they needed an oil change. So far I am happy with the change for both cars. This is good oil quality, smooth engine running, and noticeable oil lubrication at cold start. I am getting better MPGs mileage on both cars. Also noticeable engine is running with smoother. I had to lower my car window to check that my 4runner was on as it was quiet. I will update my review after a second oil change with this oil on both cars.
