The stones are wire wrapped and suspended between hand-formed 14k gold filled frames. This gives the earrings great sparkle and movement when worn!
All of our ear wires are made from scratch in our studio using 20 gauge wire. They are formed, lightly hammered for strength, and polished.
*All of the metal used is 14k gold fill.
Your jewelry will be packaged in a small Brenda McGowan Jewelry box with silver organza bow, ready for gift giving. Multiple items will be combined in one box, unless separate boxes are requested.
WHAT IS GOLD FILLED?
14kt gold filled is a layer of solid 14kt gold (gold alloy) bonded to a jeweler's brass core.
Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating - Gold-filled jewelry has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated and because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewelry lasts longer and stands up to wear and tear better than gold plated.
