Intro & New Features
New for 2025 is the redesigned Bauer 940 goalie mask. This mask features many specs that make it a solid, and reliable option for goalies which includes a full fiberglass shell, dual layer comfort foam liner, and a deep fit cup to keep goalies protected and secured.
Outer Shell
The 940 goalie mask uses a full fiberglass shell, which is a durable outer material designed to provide goalies with protection from impacts and keep their heads secured and covered. The fiberglass construction allows the mask to absorb impacts and disperse force away from the head.
Liner
The 940 goalie mask features a dual layer comfort foam and IX foam crown. The dual layer comfort foam is dispersed throughout the mask to provide protection and comfort in those key areas, and the IX foam crown provides an additional level of support to keep goalie protected.
Cage
This mask uses a strong new enhanced puck view wire to suit more goalies sight-lines providing better vision on the ice when compared to previous profile masks.
Chin Cup
The chin is protected and covered on the 940 goalie mask with a deep fit cup with a stretch spandex harness. This design allows the chin to sit comfortably on the cup, keeping it in place and protected from impacts that may incur.
Sweatband
The sweatband of the 940 goalie mask is made up of Bauer’s Thermocore Zero material which is designed to wick away sweat, keeping goalies dry and cool throughout the game.
Certification
With the CSA straight bar cage, the 940 provides both HECC and CSA certification. The mask is suitable for playing in both Canada and the USA in the current configuration.
