TEKTON bit sockets are formed through a carefully controlled insert process that press-fits S2 steel bits into the sockets for a straight, permanent connection that can't loosen over time. The bit tips are machined to exact tolerances for precise engagement with fasteners. The extra length of the long bits allows you access deep into narrow, recessed areas. Die-stamped markings are permanently impressed into the socket with large, clear size numbers that are easy to read even in low light settings and can't wear off. The bit socket's polished chrome plating protects against corrosion and wipes clean to a mirror finish. The deepest parts of the socket well, where nickel and chrome layers cannot be deposited in sufficient thickness, are protected with an additional thin layer of clear coat, rather than conventionally-used silver paint, to prevent rust. Works perfect for BMW S63 engine.
I used this to change the oil on my BMW M8 with the S63 engine. It was a perfect fit. It extended far enough onto the filter housing to be quite secure with no risk of slipping off and stripping the housing. It was snug on the housing and did not bind up due to having a loose fit. The tool feels well-built and I suspect it will outlive me given my occasional personal use. It would still probably hold up well even for daily shop use as long as it was not abused (repeatedly dropped, slammed around, etc).
