Cober began his career in the 1960s, when illustration took a turn toward a new expressionism. Influenced by the works of Ben Shahn, George Grosz, and Albrecht D rer, he believed that narrative art could inform public attitudes toward political and social issues. Cober's aim as a visual journalist was to effect change by graphically exposing the realities of our times.The Forgotten Society presents ninety-two of Cober's most compelling and emotionally charged visual essays. The distinctive pen-and-ink portraits reveal the hidden worlds of people removed from the public eye, including residents of retirement homes, of Staten Island's Willowbrook State School, and of Sing Sing Correctional Facility. The artist, who frequently befriended his subjects, offers compassionate views of the isolation of lives lived on the margins of society. Cober received many awards in his lifetime and was recently inducted into the Society of Illustrators' Hall of Fame. This edition features an insightful introduction by his daughter, Leslie Cober-Gentry, who notes, Cober's art was about communication. The world was his audience.

Somehow my puppers knew this was for him immediately...I hadn't even inflated it with the included ball pump yet! He sat patiently waiting and then just lost it when it was ready for play. He uses the tabs to grab it but also can grab the side of the ball and hasn't punctured it yet. He loves when we do foot work trying to get it. He posed just like the Pros for a picture afterward. Paws down Teddy's new favorite toy.

This ball used to be better made

This is my 3rd ball in the last several years. I purchased this one on 3/17/26. My dog and I play soccer every evening for 15 minutes, and I never leave her alone with the ball. The main handle has torn away from the ball, as you can see in the picture. I am disappointed and will hopefully find a better replacement.

So fun!! my dog loves this!!

Oh my gosh, finally a toy that he loves so much that doesn’t squeak!!! I have a big German Shepherd/Doberman and he loves this toy. He grabs one of those loops and he shakes it back-and-forth and I Chase him around the house. I throw it for him. It’s just so fun. When I have it and I wanna try to roll it past him really fast. He just puts his paw out like he’s a professional soccer player! I will definitely buy this again when all the little loops get chewed off but so far he’s only been able to chew off the main loop.
